Just got back from WDW and had a perfectly smooth DME experience. I did it in the least time possible : 40 minutes from stepping off the airport to stepping into the resort. Went to the shuttle in the airport, over to the DME check-in with nobody in line, walked to the front of the resort queue, got right on a DME bus, took off and was the first resort (PoP Century). It was 9AM when my plane landed and 9:40 when I was in the resort lobby.

Oh, no! Don't say that! Now, in order to keep the average time at 70 minutes, some poor unsuspecting passenger is going to take a hundred minutes to get from jetway to resort! ;)

What day of the week did you travel? I am wondering if that affects DME or not.

We'll gladly be the 100 minute folks. Hubby travels with an ECV and it usually takes them about 10-20 minutes to get it to us after getting off the plane, plus we usually have to stop by the restroom before heading to DME, then with the ECV we have to wait on elevators instead of going down the escalator. So our delay is in transit to the DME Welcome Center.

Sign me up! I just hope that someone doesn't get the 100 minute ride and come back here and say..... I heard on the DIS that it takes 40 minutes......

I was there on 9AM Friday morning. I think a big part of why some people take so long has nothing to do with DME but rather the time it takes THEM to get to the DME check-in. I didn't use the restroom, didn't dawdle through the airport, didn't eat or shop. I walked off the plane with one carry-on, got on the shuttle, went to the desk and walked onto the bus.

Can't tell you the exact amount of time it took us on 9/28...but it was definitely under an hour to go to POR. We were the 2nd stop. First stop was POFQ.

I hope our trip to Pop on Magical Express goes just as smoothly on Wednesday! :cool1: Thanks for reporting.
