LEAST fav. resort?

Caribbean Beach for me. It's just too big for a resort in Disney World. The thing that got me mad is that there is not just one bus stop, there are several at CBR. So there would be long wait times for a bus. Waited almost an hour for the downtown disney bus.

While I have only stayed at the AKL and it is hands down my favorite I have visited almost all the other resorts and hands down YC/BC is my least favorite. It's the style that doesn't appeal to me. I'm far more of an AKL, WL, Poly type girl.

I've stayed at most of them (except Contemporary, WL, AKL, AS). My least favorite deluxe was the Polynesian (too dark, musty), my least favorite moderate was Coronado Springs (food court, out of the way).

Probably my least favorite would be CSR - just not my style. My least favorite experience came at the Poly at their restaurant. I went to the general store while we were waiting for our table to get some OTC medicines I needed, and the CM was upset that I was a couple of seconds late getting back to the waiting area.

I am also one of those who prefer the All Stars to the mods - too much walking at the mods (although CBR keeps calling me back).

We've stayed at All Star, Coronado, CBR, Contemporary, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. First, I have to say my favorite is YC and BC. Won't stay anywhere else EVER.

Now, to answer your question. It's hard to say. I'd say All Star would be my least favorite but that makes since given that it's a value resort. Out of the deluxes my least favorite was Wilderness Lodge. Small, dark rooms. Transporation didn't impress me. The CM's weren't as friendly as my experiences at other deluxes. And, we felt far removed. But, we love the Epcot resort area and can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Not exactly that we didn't like it; but POFQ would probably be our least favorite. We live less than 2 hours from New Orleans and spend a good bit of time down there. The theming just wasn't all that exciting for us.

We also spent 1 night at ASMo last year; and I don't think we would stay there again. The room was just too small.

That's interesting dmonroe, our stay at POFQ prompted a trip to New Orleans.

We have stayed at FW Cabins, POFQ, BC, Poly, and AKL. Of those, BC is our least favorite. We loved the pool and the poximity to Epcot, but hated the resort. It was too much like a big city hotel rather than a laid back resort. Although I want to stay in a tower room with a view of MK someday, I have absolutely no desire to stay at the Contemporary for that same reason. We don't enjoy the hussle and bussle of big hotels, but prefer the more relaxed atmosphere of a resort.

I think this is a great question and thread.

Of the 5 wonderful resorts I've stayed at, here is my list from Least to Fave:

CBR : Too big, inconvenient transportation, weak food choices. This was my only non-delux resort.

AKL: I loved the AKL, but due to the convenience factor, it was down the list. I think the novelty of watching the animals will die off.

CR: How wonderful to be so close to MK. Not an exquisit resort, but our tower room was very convenient and the view lovely.

YC: This scored big because when we complained about the neighbors screaming (a really un-Disney experience), we were promptly moved to a fabulous water view room overlooking Epcot. Convenience and style. Our new room was very quiet. And yes, the pool was lovely (and we managed to hit it at a relatively slow time).

BWI: There was absolutely nothing not to love about the BWI in my opinion. It was convenient to parks and great restaurants, it has style, the pool was fun, the staff was exceptional, and the view from a standard room was lovely (overlooking Epcot fireworks and peaceful gardens). This resort felt smaller and more intimate than the others.
