I have a few large boxes to send to our Florida condo...........towels, blankets, etc.

Any idea what the least expensive way would to be send them? Should I go to the UPS store & just send them ground or go straight the post office & have it sent the least expensive way through the USPS?

I would have it sent UPS just because I trust them more than USPS.

Most likely Fedex Ground. Sign up online for a Fedex account - it's easy and all you need to do is add a credit/debit card and you get a pretty good discount.

I found the USPS to be the least expensive. Unfortunately.

:thumbsup2 USPS.... one of the most trusted business in the country...

Think about this...You get mail everyday...99 percent of the time No problems...How come ...when someone does have a problem...They remember that forever...Too funny!!

rocky, if I had just ONE problem with our postal workers I wouldn't remember forever.

MELSMICE, I would ship UPS.

My rule of thumb: large packages - UPS
Small pkgs - USPS.
So I'd go with UPS on this one.

UPS.

The USPS is outrageous. I just mailed a roughly 13x13 envelope and it was more than $8 to ship, they didn't guarantee delivery, didn't insure it, no tracking and I mailed it last Wednesday and it still hasn't arrived at isn't destination. I think the Pony Express had better service. Couple that with the surly staff at the post office and I'll take UPS any day.

I opted for UPS. They were 2 large boxes & one included some 3 liter bottles of Loganberry that mom just had to have  (I'm actually shipping to her condo which is in the same building as ours).

Anyway, it as about $50. A little pricey, but it was less expensive than purchasing about 25 beach towels, 3 large blankets & 3 afghans. We have so many extra towels & blankets at our house that we figured it would be best to ship them down instead of purchasing new.

I shipped a LOT of stuff via fedex ground.

when we cleaned out DW's house in Boston I fedex'd about 40 boxes of stuff, they all arrived in about a week or so.
