Least expensive way to Sea World from WDW without renting a car ?

We like FL Tours.
They have $60 for a towncar roundtrip from WDW to SeaWorld.

Would a taxi be less expensive ?
Would FL Tours be more convient and safer ?
( NY taxi drivers drive a bit crazy)

With the 10 day My Way pass - we will still have a day or two in the area
to visit somewhere. I thought Sea World would be a nice place to visit since we have never been outside of WDW.

What are your thoughts ?

A taxi will cost close to $50 round trip plus tip, it could be more if traffic is bad.
Depending on how many are in your party, Mears might be a cost effective way to go. I think they charge around $12.00 for an adult.
We rented a mini-van for the day from Dollar at the Holiday Inn at Downtown Disney the cost was $45.00 and it was great because we could keep to our own schedule rather than counting on a town car or Mears.

The #50 Lynx (public transit) will take you from the TTC (MK) to Sea World for $1.25, no transfers. There is a small walk from the bus stop to Sea World.

If you take the LYNX bus, make sure that you know where the stop is for your return trip. I believe it is actually across the street from the Sea World parking lot. Ask your driver to make sure.

Does the LYNX bus go from the TTC to Universal, too?

We used the Lynx system to get to SeaWorld a year or so ago. It was really quite easy. You pick it up at the TTC. You can get a schedule there or get one from their website. It then takes you directly to SeaWorld parking lot. The return is just about as easy. Just walk across the street from where you got dropped off! But, there are several things to remember....
1. have the exact change
2. be sure to tell the bus driver when you get on, that you want to go to SeaWorld main entrance.

I wish there were a similar way to get to Universal but I believe it is very convoluted. And I don't need to be wandering around Orlando on a bus, not knowing where I'm going, trying to make various connections!!

For what it's worth, my brother in law works for Mears and makes this kind of run often. If you want his cell # email me. He has a regular list of travelers that he give his # to so they can call him when they are on vacation. This is not done as a side job but is all through the company. This would not be a fly by night sort of thing. Also, please tip well if not he'll just be hitting me up for money. Not really-just a joke. He's been doing this for about 10 years and is very friendly and honest. Man this sounds to much like an ad for him. I'll just stop now! LOL.
