My son is a Special Education teacher and is wanting to purchase 1" binders for each of his students for them to keep their work. He is going to have 17 students.

I always enjoy helping him to purchase things for his classroom and I would like to pick up some of these for him. I was wondering if any of you would have an idea where would be the least expensive place to buy the binders.

They do not have to be a certain type, nor a certain color.

The supply stores in our area are completely picked over. I would suggest one of the dollar stores. You could probably get cheap binders for about $1. I bought my kids the better ones at target for $2.69 but got the last 4. They were 7.99 at OfficeMax, which I didn't buy. Good luck.

Just check the ads for all of the major office supply stores (Office Depot, Staples, etc.), Target, Walmart. Prices change every Sunday, usually. I bought 2 at Staples last month for $1. I only needed one, but since it was only $1 I got an extra. Costco.com has great prices on office supplies and binders too, if either of you are members.

Just bought two at Target today for 99 cents. They are called an economy binder. hope that helps!

I second Office Depot! Just went there and bought some for .50 each. There may be a limit so bring a friend :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone. I have been browsing some web sites (staples, office depot etc...) and the cheapest I saw was around $2.99 each. I think I am going to be heading out to some of the stores tomorrow to see what I can find.

Just got some slightly larger at Walgreens. They had a bunch of 1 inch ones-not sure of the price but I know it was around $1.oo each.

My Target had a bunch of the economy ones. If you can't find them in the school supply section in the back, check the regular office supply section in the store. Oddly enough pretty much everything else was picked over except those!

I had to order a bunch for my students. I got them from Office Super Savers online. They were $1.09 each.

I bought a lot last year at walmart for 25 cents when they put the school supplies on clearance. So wait until your walmart has clearance school supplies in a few weeks.:yay:
