I'm not sure where to post this, so I'll try here. My DS and DDIL want to take their DD (will be 3 in October) to WDW. I would go with them since I've been enough times to show them around. I have been in October and also in the summer months and recently have been going with my DSister in February. My DDIL doesn't really want to go in February because it would be too cold. She also doesn't want to go in the heat of the summer. Since this trip would be next year, I am wondering if the crowds due to spring break are less during April, or if that is still spring break time for some. If so, maybe the first of May would be a better option. Thanks for any info.

Is January an option? It's still warm but it's not as hot as it is in the summer or early fall...

I've been in Mid May. The weather was beautiful. No rain but it was hot. Nothing like summer of course but still hot. Upper 80s to low 90s. If swimming is important it was warm enough for the kids to swim until midnight almost every night. I felt the crowds were very managable.
Enjoy your trip!

Our first family trip (DD4, DS2) we went during the last week of April, 2005. The temps were in the 80s, it rained a couple times and the crowds were HUGE because it happened to be the week of Passover and the NYC public schools and many other NE schools had spring break that week. We used Tour Guide Mike and had a wonderful time despite the crowds.

We went back in Jan 2006 (DD5, DS3) and the temps were cool but the crowds were wonderfully low. The temps ranged from highs around 50 our first 2 days to highs in the lower 80s our last couple of days. We got to swim 2 or 3 times (we're from Illinois) and otherwise thought the temps were fantastic! It NEVER rained our entire 8 days in the parks. The only waits I saw were for Soarin' at Epcot and for some reason Big Thunder Mtn was packed one day at MK. We used FastPass for those and waited for no longer than 5 minutes for anything else. We absolutely LOVED going in January and I would have a hard time planning for any other time of year.

If you go in March or April, check the calendar for when Easter and Passover fall and avoid the 2 weeks around both for public school spring breaks. At least in Illinois, most college spring breaks are over by April or coincide with the public school Easter spring breaks.
