Forgive me, I am sure this has been discussed before. I'm new to the board and I did search back a ways to see if there is a discussion for this going on. If there is, can somebody direct me towards it? If not, is this the correct place to post this? I read that the beginning of December and the week of Easter are the least crowded times. Just wondering if this was true.

Thanks,
Laurie

Welcome to the DIS!!!

Early December is a good time to go usually. Easter week is extremely crowded! I would never go then. January is a very good time to go.........we went this past January and it was great! You should avoid the Martin Luther King weekend though. That weekend is a little busier than the rest of January.

Basically anytime that kids are IN school is a good time to go.

Well, forget Easter. It's one of the busiest weeks of the year. Early December is much less crowded. Our favorite time to visit however is in mid-September. No crowds at all and still very nice weather. We loved The World in September!!

I have found that the First Sunday/week after New Years Eve is the best time to go. We went December 30-Jan 5 in 2002, and it was very busy until that last day. The parks were much, much less crowded in that everyone had to go back to school and work.

HTH!

Welcome to the Dis Lamb:wave: You'll find so much info here you won't believe it:earsboy: The slowest times at WDW are after Labor Day through Christmas(except Thankgsgiving), and January. If you're looking to avoid crowds avoid the holidays.

WELCOME!! Definetly avoid Easter!! That was my biggest rookie mistake!!:D

There are times of the year that are really quiet (but they all run high weather risks-- January is great for low crowds, but can be really cold). Early Dec-- can be cold too. Then Septemeber (if there's a hurrican can be a wash-out).

I find that early Novemeber is decent crowd levels (not bad at all) and the weater is more predicatably on the warm side (70-80's).

We went the first week of February, before President's Day though, and there were practically no crowds at all. In the mornings pretty much everything (except Test Track) was a walk-on. We lucked out and had great weather except for a couple of cool days (and even those were still much warmer than what we left behind in PA), but February weather is really a toss-up, you never know what you'll get. We figured we were willing to trade heat for no lines!

Early December and the first week of January (say after the 3rd or 4th) are usually pretty quiet.

Early January and early December as the other posters said are very quiet. We like them both very much. Of course, if you can make it in December it is the most magical time of the year with all the holiday decorations. I believe I heard September is usually quiet also, after school is back in session and Labor Day is past. Of course, the weather will be much hotter.
