least crowded Diagon Alley?

What are the days/times you have seen the least crowded Diagon Alley?

we went last year during HHN (had APs and went right there as soon as we could) and it was so. gloriously. empty. we even had a death eater walk us all around. we rode gringotts back to back to back without ever having to get off.

now it has spoiled us and the regular crowds seem even more overwhelming. that was my kids first time seeing diagon alley and they actually thought it's always like that LOL.

I know we won't recreate that exact level of emptiness outside of HHN, but looking for tips on when it may be a little less crowded

EE is at IOA during our stay, so can't use that strategy.

I think when EE is at IOA, regular entry at US is the best shot for low crowds at Diagon Alley. Possibly the very end of the evening before closing, but I am usually in Hogsmeade at that time so have no personal experience.

Most people are trying to hit Hagrid’s first thing in the morning. So rope drop is your best bet.

We often have good luck later in the day. Much of the time though, we have EP, so we don't give it much thought. It seems like it gets busiest in the mornings, just a little past rope drop. People tend to head there first, just as they tend to head to FoP first in AK.
