For the Use Years that are available for the WDW area DVC resorts, how would you rank them from least to most commonly available?

For some reason December seems to be extremely common across the board.

This is something I am currently evaluating since we anticipate multiple resale purchases and certainly want to have all the same use year.

Is there a specific resort you need info on? This stuff is tracked by various people and is published different places.

So no need to guess as you can get the actual info.

Yes there are a lot of December use year contracts out there but if December is not a use year that aligns with your travel plans it doesn't really matter. You want to find the right use year for your situation even if that means you have to pay a little more to grab one that is not as highly available from third party sellers.

Keep in mind the following chart is over 7 years old and DVD now has the ability to reassign the UY on any points they obtain via ROFR. It should still give you a ROUGH estimate though.

For us, Poly, VGF, and Riv are the anticipated purchases.

Here is the outdated one but a link to see the specific resorts:

Outdated and with new sales at all the resorts its going to transition quite a bit.

I think there is another source but can't find it as its been a while since I had been looking at purchase history. Its at least a ballpark number and hopefully someone else posts a different source that is more updated.

Thank you! Was December the starting use year for Riviera ? If so, I suspect that may be more in that month.

FYI, a few years ago DVC gave itself the ability to change the Use Year of points after the initial sale. That's why it's not really possible to track this info anymore. DVC reacquires points at older resorts and then re-sells them. For resorts older than (approx) 5 yrs, we know what UY points were originally assigned to. But if DVC forecloses or ROFR's some of those points, we don't know what Use Years they're taking back and we don't know what UYs they may change those points into when re-selling.

That said, it would take an awful lot of buy-backs for those charts to shift to any large degree. So the data is still pretty solid.

Thank you for recompiling all the data and explaining why it would be difficult if not impossible to track now.

Yes! This change happened in 2019.

I like referencing the charts to know my chances of finding something decent on the resale market. For example BCV with a Sept UY is going to be pretty hard to find so you may end up paying more or settling for something good enough whereas if you wanted a Feb UY you have a lot more options.
