Learning the DIS ropes

Hi, as you can probably tell I am new to all this and, unfortunetely, rather technologically challenged. I have finally worked out the avatar, signature and bouncy things , but the next job is to work out how to highlight a section on a previous post to use within your own post, when it says "originally posted by ------".

Can anyone help me with this query as I am sure it will make posting much, much easier

First of all, welcome to the board! You will find that you can get just about any question answered here!

Now on to your question -- instead of using the reply button, use the "Quote" button down at the bottom right of the post you want to quote from. Geesh - does that make sense? Hope that helps!

Hi and welcome to the boards.

I believe you are talking about "Quoting" somthing from somebody elses post. If so then you just go to the bottom right hand corner of the post you want to quite/copy and there you will see a small blue button type thing that says "Quote"

Press that and that post will come up in a reply post. Just take the words you want and delete the rest or leave the whole quoted post and add your reply below it.
