Looking at planning a trip to Disneyland Paris after the transatlantic next year and now have sympathy for people new to WDW and Disneyland when they are trying to book. It is hard to know where to start but at least I have a lot of time to figure it out.

This is so true! WDW and Disneyland are second nature to me, so things I find myself thinking about now I have never had to think about before (transportation, which hotel to stay at, which rides have fast pass, etc).

I just booked my hotel today for my trip in 20 days so I am playing quite a bit of catch up! I hate not knowing what to expect.

That is exactly how I feel! Doesn't help that I am contanstly doing currency conversions to figure out what things cost so I can budget. Going will be worth it though!

I find what works best for me to research somewhere new is to read ..... and read ..... and read - posts, threads, trip reports ..... and ask away, as much as you want - as Jonjo said there really is no such thing as a silly question.
