Hi everyone. Just got back 9/3/10 and learned something new from Starring Rolls. We were on the regular dining plan. We stopped by there around 10:30am for a quick breakfast. We learned that if you have two choices for meals at that time (perhaps even earlier). You can either 1) get 1 pastry/bagel and 2 drinks OR 2) You can get one of their huge sandwiches, chips/fruit, dessert, and 1 drink. This was a no-brainer for my family :lmao:. They LOVE sandwiches anytime. I confirmed this with one of the managers when I was there. I couldn't believe the difference in the meals. Just thought I would pass it on.:goodvibes

That is because you were there while they were serving lunch. Option 1 is a breakfast option and option 2 is the lunch option.

I am planning to eat here on our HS CS lunch day.

The menus online show they also serve sushi. Do you know if the sushi is available as an entree on the DDP?

Sushi is rarely covered on the dining plan. I don't know for sure though. Just don't get your hopes up.

I would guess it is covered it's a new option as I have never seen it there before, but the pricing is in line with the sandwiches etc. which are covered. :)

The only place I can think of where it isn't really covered is the Japan TS, where there are only two "combo" platters that count as entrees and none as appetizers. And I remember there being some restrictions at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, but it has been so many years since I've been there that I don't remember particulars. It is noteworthy, I think, that neither of those are Disney-owned restaurants. The Disney-owned TS locations that offer sushi - Kona and California Grill - allow it as an entree for those on the basic dining plan and appetizer and/or entree for those on the deluxe plan.

At the counter service spots that offer sushi - Capt Cooks, Sunshine Seasons, and Yakitori House - you can get an order of sushi as your meal. And since Starring Rolls is, like Capt Cooks and Sunshine Seasons, Disney owned, I would expect to find a similar policy regarding sushi as an entree.
