Leap Frog "x" for a 4yo Girl

I'm a bit confused by the Leapster 2 vs. Didj. Can anyone explain the difference and recommend which one might be best for a 4yo Girl?

I don't want to buy the Leapster2 if she's really going to outgrow it in a year and then have to get the Didj.

She'd be getting it as a Christmas gift so she'll really almost be 5yo.

DIDJ is geared towards older children. I bought my 4 yr old a Leapster 2 and she is going to be 6 and still has NOT mastered alot of the games.Many of the games have levels. Now granted the Leapster is more educational games then say a Nintendo DS. Not sure how it compares to the DIDJ.I do remember comparing them too before I bought the leapster 2

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I forgot to say I'm looking for educational games. I'm glad to hear she is still using it at 6yo.

My DD4 is using the My 1st Leap Pad and still enjoys that ... but we have almost all the games and she really wants the new stuff like Tinkerbell, Up, Wall-E, etc.

My 7 y/o is still happy w/ his leapster2; my DD got a didj at 9, but could have probably gotten it a year earlier. It mostly depends on what games they want, and which one they're on. Most of the didj games are for over 2nd grade, and the leapster games go mostly through 2nd or even 3rd. So I'd say you'd get use out of it.
