Lead Time on Taking Brightline

We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and taking a Brightline train that closes boarding at 8:45am. Best guess as to a good time to be getting an Uber/Lyft from AKL? I'm thinking 7:30am, optimistically assuming security delays at the MCO Brightline terminal are minimal. Sound good?

I think 7:30 am should be good. I might make sure I have the uber scheduled to arrive by 7:30 am. I have been lucky with few delays heading from the WDW area to MCO this year. That said, the short delay I did have was leaving from WDW around 7-7:15 am on a weekday, but it really just made the trip more like 45 minutes instead of the normal 30 minutes.

I can’t comment on Brightline check-in / security, but bear in mind ~35 minutes is about the minimum for a drive from AKL to the Brightline station. Given you’re talking about morning commute time, depending on the day of the week, there’s always the possibility of delays en route.

On top of that it’s a fairly far Uber route and you might not instantly get a driver to accept it. I’d push things just a little earlier and plan on placing the Uber request around 7:15, so hopefully you can be in the car and ready to go by 7:25. If you’re calling the Uber for 7:30 and there’s any delay from them getting to you, or on the way to Brightline, you’d be really cutting it close.

Security at the Brightline station is quick. Checking a bag will add to the time.
