Lead Guest on Reservation isn't a Parent - MDE Help?

I don't even know where to post this or how to explain this correctly!

I'm the lead guest on our upcoming stay at WDW in November with our friends and their kids. Since I'm the lead on the reservation the kids have to be under my account and I they can't be shared with me from their parents account. So for the reservation to work I created their accounts.

However, their parents want to buy their tickets and link them to their accounts. They will also likely be getting them magic bands for the trip. Ideally they would like to have control of their own children's accounts.

I cannot imagine this is an uncommon issue with groups going to Disney but how does this all work on MDE? If they make their own children their own accounts they won't be on the hotel reservation. I'm not sure how much this will affect them but I'm guessing if we try to take advantage of any extra magic hours it may?

I am planning on being the one to make the dining reservations so it would be helpful to have them on my account so I can do this so we also don't want them taken off of my account.

If anyone else has come across this issue how do you navigate it?

When I entered the reservation it said that minor children can't be shared and it forced me to create profiles for them.

You can add other people's kids to your Friends & Family.

What you're describing would make it impossible for even a married couple to "share" their own kids.

Ugh, I'm not sure how to fix this if you've already created them. IT might be able to link the version you created with the managed version under their parents profile.
