Looking through the Restaurants forum, it looks like a LOT of people really like Le Cellier. I've never been there. Tell me why it's so great. :)

Where do I start! Sure the place is small, and the service is at times slow, but the food! Ohhh the food! I have never had a meal that good in my entire life. Sure people state what their faves are, but we didnt LOVE their faves, but we tried our own likings, and LOVED it, Tom got the 20 Rib eye (cowboy), and I got the Mushroom Filet Mignon! I am never eating steak again until I go back. Ok maybe I will but it wont be as good!

Just tried the Le Cellier last week for the 1st time. 2nd best service we got for TS all week coming in behind the Castle dinner. Also the 2nd most expensive meal we ate to I think. FOOD was GOOD didn't care for the breadsticks but wasn't there for the bread anyway. And I won't order the cheese plate appetizer again huge plate with little on it and the cheese was not that great. Other than that loved it.

I did not find the Le Cellier dark it does have a lot of dark wood decor but was not as dark as Mexico and some of the other restaurants.

One advantage is if you goin to WS just to eat is that it's a easy walk to Canada it's the 1st country on that side of WS and LeCellier is on the right just as you enter Canada.

There's only one down side to Le Cellier -- the seating/table arrangement is cozy. You can't help but notice what your neighbor's ordered. Just be prepared...

Our family loves Le Cellier. The breadsticks -- yum! Several different kinds that are very tasty and very tempting to fill up on. Beware of doing that or you'll regret it about 1/2-way through your entree.

Soups -- while most people rave about the cheese soup (which is very good), I enjoy the beef barley. Very savory broth with plenty of beef.

Steaks -- Le Cellier truly knows how to prepare a steak meaning that they understand that "medium" means "medium" -- not charcoal briquet! The entrees are standard Disney-sized, meaning you probably won't leave hungry. Several times I've nearly had to be rolled out of the restaurant.

Desserts -- where to start... the maple creme brulee is wonderful, but they also offer Walt's Chocolate Cake. The cake is made with liquor, but you really only get a strong hint of it and that's my favorite. Last trip we got a dessert sampler that included smaller servings of 3 different desserts. Oh my -- I was in heaven.

Highly recommend trying Le Cellier -- we will be there in November!

We were really impressed w/ LC. We are definately not fancy food people, but everything was so good. Done right, nice sides, just a nice restaurant. And, both my kids and I felt at home, which is nice when your trying something a little more upscale.

We love Le Cellier. We actually just ate there twice during our 13 days there and only had ADR's booked once, but after eating there, we scrambled to get another ADR for another night because we loved it so much!! The atmosphere is nice, the food is awesome. The best steak and lobster on Disney property as far as we were concerned and we did steak/lobster and prime rib at various other places and none could touch Le Cellier (CRT, Concourse Steakhouse, Narcoossee's, etc). The desserts are yummy and the sampler (counts as 2 but my DH and I shared it) is a great way to try most of them. The maple creme brulee is my favourite! JMHO of course, but I hope you get a chance to try it!

I have eaten there twice. It is a very nice restraunt. The food is awesome. They have steaks and hamburgers. Also 3 types of bread. Our server told us what each type of breadstick ment to Canada or Canada's area

That's what we got, too. It's where my ds12 learned to love steak! He shared off of ours and he kept wanting more!

Love Le Cellier.....

I am very offended by people who want to "make" me explain why I like a particular restaurant. If you do not want to go, or you think you will not like it, then DO NOT GO!

:confused3 Maybe you shouldn't let yourself get so easily offended!

Anyway, I can appreciate wanting to know more about a restaurant so...

It's absolutely fantastic. I enjoy other DS restaurants like Cali Grille, Hollywood Brown Derby, but I can honestly say this restaurant seemed to not be over the top gourmet. I am an adventurous eater, but my dh is not. This restaurant fit the bill for both of us. It has great steaks, but also some other nice entrees. The atmosphere is both upscale, while still cozy and inviting. You still are caught up in the atmosphere of World Showcase, but without the worries of whether you will actually enjoy the food. (I have had both good & bad experiences at World Showcase) It is expensive, but I don't recall caring about the bill because our food was so good! The last time I ate there I was not on the dining plan so this was important to me then.

Good luck with your dining selections. I say give it a try.

How can anyone "make" you explain. The OP just wanted people to tell why they loved it to help with the decision of to go or not. If you don't want to share then don't.

To the OP I booked ADR's there as I have mostly wonderful things. I have heard some negative as well but you get that about everything.

 I dont think that anyone is trying to make you do anything ....sorry you felt that way

:scared: I am scared to ask this now but would anyone be willing to share with me what they eat there if they are not big red meat eaters? My Dh loves his red meat but I am not so big on it
I was wondering what I may try there ...

When Le Cellier is "on" its food is very good. Its basically a steak house. It has a very good cheese soup. And, for steak at Disney, its more reasonably priced than Shulas or Yachtsman or some of the other places that specialize in steak. We had steak at Narcoosees and steak two nights later at Le Cellier. The Le Cellier steak was better and the meal was $50 cheaper!

On occation people have reported that the steak hasn't been as great as they expected - either an off night or an expectation problems. Even then its generally described as being good, if not great, steak. More like an Outback steakhouse (with a few dollar surcharge for being at WDW).

I have had better steak. Ruth's Chris steak is much better. Locally, the St. Paul Grill in St. Paul Minnesota serves a better steak. And I hear that doesn't compare to eating steak in Kansas City, Chicago or Omaha. But I've paid a lot more for those steaks.

OK Now I want to eat here. I am going to WDW at the end of October, do I need to book now or can I book when I get at WDW?

Book asap....Le Cellier fills up very quickly. I have already booked for the first week of December.

Have fun!!

I don't know how others fell but being so close to others isn't bad. when I hear the subject of Disney and what they are talking about it kinda is interesting. :Pinkbounc

If you're referring to my OP, that's really not what I intended, really. I've just read a lot about people going there and wanted to know more about it. Maybe I didn't word my question right. I love to hear what other people think about a restaurant so I can figure out if I would like to go there. Sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to. :flower3:

Call now and cross your fingers. Le Cellier has been booking 90 days out of late, and you are there over Food and Wine.
