Any other DVC'ers upset about the new all day menu at Le Cellier? We typically eat there for lunch on one day, but at the new prices, I think that we'll pass. I'll miss the soup and chocolate mousse, but not rnough to pay $42bucks for a steak instead of the burger.

Glad you posted this info. We were planning on booking lunch there when we go in March. I am not happy to hear the news.

We usually do lunch, as well. I don't like the burger, but DW does. They also got rid of the spicy chicken and chipotle sausage appetizer. We went ahead and made a lunch ADR for our trip in July, but we are going back and forth as to whether we will keep it.

We did a lunch and a dinner in December. We did the dinner first, and the service was terrible. My steak was ordered medium, but it was still moo-ing when they brought it to the table. Even after taking it back to the kitchen, it was still undercooked. They took that entree off our charges. The food took so long to get to the table, that we were almost finished with our bottle of wine. The lunch service was definitely better, but not what I would consider premium or worth the price.

We live in Indy, and there are several excellent steakhouses here in town. I can go to any of them and have a better experience than what we had at LeCellier last month, and spend less money. Maybe they will open a permanent CS restaurant at the Canadian pavillion that serves the soup. That's honestly the only thing we enjoy about dining at LeCellier anymore.

We had lunch there on the 8th. Host told us that they were going Signature all day starting the 14th. Same menu all day. Missed the chance for the hamburger and ordered the pork chop. That was a mistake.

IMHO they had better step up their game because I saw nothing "Signature" about their menu. We are going back for dinner in May. If we are disappointed that will be the very last time we eat at Le Cellier. Too many other, cheaper places to get mediocre food.

Saw a post the other day and checked out the menu. I cancelled our reservation. Too many other places to eat

Glad to see that I'm not alone. Is there anyone to call and complain about this change? Would it do any good?

Oh the days that used to be... High prices for quality meals... Today you get less than average food at prices that make you do a double take when then bill arrives. Le Cellier was a X2 for every trip until about two years ago. Steaks that tasted like a salt lick... Second round they arrived cold and were treated like we were just too picky. We're so happy we now have enough points for at least a 1-BR every trip... I doubt we eat many sit down meals in the future... Only two this trip and that was two too many.

Hi, i have a ressie for lunch during my spring break trip.... Cancelling now that it is a signature restaurant. Dont want to spend that much for lunch.... And for dinner would rather walk over to the yachtsman for a good steak.

Or even Shula's . . .

Who needs Le Cellier?

Had wonderful prime rib at Olivia's at OKW a week ago.

I think that all of the cancellations that I am reading about speak volumes. I hope Disney listens. I don't have the address but I am sure someone here can provide it. :)

We do lunch every trip :(
I love the burger............and the smaller filet.
Won't be doing it anymore...........my choices at Epcot are getting less and less.

I don't think anyone wants to spend that much money at lunch in a theme park. We've gone to the Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch, but usually order the Cobb salad which is reasonably priced.

We still remember when Le Cellier was just a buffet - and a good one at that.

Sorry to see it has gone thru this progression. That's the price of popularity. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the lunch menu to return.

I won't be surprised to see a similar situation at Coral Reef in the future.

Stay tuned! :(

That would be interesting. We have never been very impressed with Coral Reef. It's just too noisy and the service has been iffy when we have gone. We at least liked LeC in the past. I would be good if they would just start selling the soup at the beer cart near the entrance to the gardens!

I would bet they'll all eventually go that way... Cut quality, increase price or both. We know the route Disney is taking.

We had lunch there on 1/10 and while the food was decent, the service was terrible! We had finished our entree and sat long enough that I looked at my DH's watch for the time. 1:20pm. We did not have our dessert (served!) nor check until 2:30pm. While we enjoyed the food we too have better and cheaper steakhouse choices in our town then what lunch will be going forward from the change. Don't think we will be back...

Thanks for posting. We have never eaten there and wanted to try it but it doesn't seem worth it to me for $$. Everyone is right that there are many places to get a good steak. Actually on our last trip (Dec 12) we ate lunch at Mama Melrose and a few people ordered the sirloin entree and it was amazing. I know some folks don't like MM so maybe it was a fluke but we thought it was amazing! The price was right for the whole meal too. We paid $300 inc tip for 10 people and we got an app, entree and dessert. I'll do MM again before bothering with LC.

I was shocked to find dinner availability at Le Cellier for two of our recent visits.
We made ressies for 11/28/2012 (3 months prior) and 12/29/2012 (4 months prior). We had a nice meal both times.
I don't normally get around to making ressies at the 180+10 day mark, so it has been years since we last had a dinner at Le Cellier. We rarely use the DP (usually it is TIW), but I always take a look at the plan before we go. I wasn't surprised they changed it to 2credits on the DP because of the popularity of the restaurant, but I doubt we would ever use 2DP credits to eat at Le Cellier (for lunch or dinner).
