Le Cellier

Not worth two credits for me primarily because of the atmosphere: tables are just way too close together. LC has always been hit or miss for me, and I've had some meals there that I had to send back. Included inedible dressing on a salad, pools of grease on the burger and dripping down the sides (it was really bad) and cold entrees (twice) . However I am in the minority and the vast majority of people love this place. Seems like every time I'm there the kitchen is having an off night. lol

With only 40 tables, and seating just 160 people, the size makes it a tough place to book and thus contributes to the hype. I don't think that the new menu is 'worth it' to me.

Go to the Yachtsman if you're wanting a great steak for two credits. The California Grill also has a great filet (we eat there a lot.)

I don't know how the table credits equate to cost, but any steak that goes OOP for anywhere near $40 (or $30, for that matter) had better be really, really special. What I see is a lot of enthusiastic people getting caught up in WDW marketing of "signature," themed, and character dining. That's not necessarilly a bad thing. You're on a dream vacation and it should be special. However, Disney is taking advantage of that when they charge $40 for an average steak or $16 for a burger.

I've been going to WDW for 25 years and have always enjoyed the more expensive dining, but always got a great meal for the money. Even the CS was worthy of a few extra dollars. Now, the prices have doubled or tripled in some cases and the food is not as good. "Signature" restaurants? Perhaps thinking in terms of table credits has numbed the average guest to what is really happening. I do have to give Disney a lot of credit for their marketing genious.

Have done Yachtsman and Le Cellier (2x) this past week..Yachtsman was the most abysmal meal and service I think I have EVER had! Absolutely disgusting...:confused3

I have eaten at LeCellier many times. IMHO, I do not think it is worth 2 TS credits. I would not say it was a steakhouse. I would compare it more to the Outback. Definitely not a Morton's. ;)

I don't know...we had a couple of pretty amazing steaks there this past week..:confused3

But overall-with the exception of LC...the food this trip was highly disappointing.

We were there and ate their signature filet entree. It was by far the best meal we had in Disney. On our must do list for every future trip.
