Le Cellier - worth 2 credits a dinner?

Hello! Thank you for your time in reviewing my post! We are a family of 4 that needs some advice on Le Cellier. In the past, we have done Le Cellier at lunch and dinner when it was 1 TS credit on the dining plan. We absolutely loved it and it became my family's "can't miss" dining reservation.

Can anyone offer advice on if it is worth it for 2 table service credits? We all love the steak, so that is what we would be getting. Also, has anything changed since they upgraded to 2 credits now. I've checked the menu out and don't really see that much difference from when we last dined there. Any recommendations?

We ate there for lunch and dinner this trip and dinner was hands down worth the 2 credits. We actually ate there on Sunday for dinner and loved it so much we cancelled our coral reef on wed for a lunch there and it was so below our expectations because our dinner was so phenomenal!

No way!! I would head over to Shula's at the Dolphin....now that's a steak dinner :thumbsup2

I believe the Kona Cafe has one of the best steaks on property for 1 credit.

No way. There are way to many other options in WDW that have a better steak for a better value. IMHO, this was true when it was a 1TS and is certainly the case now that it is a signature.

We have a lunch resv in Feb and I am wondering the same thing. 2 credits for dinner maybe but lunch? I am really thinking of changing this but hubby really wants the pretzel bread. But 2 credits for bread?? :rotfl:

I believe it's worth 2 TS credits for us, because we absolutely LOVE mushrooms so the filet is perfect for us. Plus the added bonus of the pretzel bread with the cheddar soup. :cloud9: We are going back to Le Cellier in October!

Augh! I've been away way too long... I didn't even know it was worth 2 TS credits now!

Still, I think the cheese soup alone is worth 2 TS credits. :hyper:

I was very hesitant to go here for 2 points, so much so we didn't try it until or most recent trip a couple weeks ago. And, YES, it is so worth the points. DH loved it so much, he made reservations to go a 2nd time while we were there...and found a 3rd reservation available but I cut him off :lmao:

Not worth it. We went in January 2011 and we loved it. However, we just ate there last week and it was not good. They changed the menu and we found the food disappointing. I ordered the squash ravioli and for $32, it was a total rip off and lacked taste. My husband's entree was decent but not worth the price either. This restaurant has definately lost it's appeal to us and we will not be dining there again.

No way it's worth 2. Not even sure it's worth 1. Last Saturday for dinner, after waiting 45 minutes past seating time on our last day of the DDP, our grandson and his parents had to leave to find somewhere else to eat leaving me with 4 adult and 2 childrens points. I asked the manager to exchange points for appetizers or sides. She told me she could not but to ask the resort front desk for a cash refund on the DDP, which is a complete lie and I knew it at the time. The food is not that good, service marginal, and the management is dishonest.
