So .. me and my dumb planning issues.

Well I managed to finally get a reservation at the coveted Le Cellier. :woohoo:

Unfortunately it's for our arrival day.:headache:

It's also the day scheduled for DHS and Fantasmic (I've still yet to see it) and the only other evening that it is going to be shown is the day that we are scheduled to go to Teppan Edo. Go figure. Epcot is killing me here.

Toughts? Suggestions?

I had the same issue. I ended up making a reservation for lunch at LeCellier in place of dinner. Not a perfect plan but it still lets me eat there and see the shows the kids want.

Not worth it.

Personally, I believe Le Cellier is highly overrated. It's simply not worth the headache.

You may be right .... I'm not convinced yet though. I will admit that their lunch menu is not as nice as their dinner. But still looks quite tasty.

Le Cellier is a decent meal (and the cheese soup is to die for) but I wouldn't change my plans around just to have a meal there. There are plenty of other restaurants in and around Disney where you can get a good steak and good soup :thumbsup2

I think you're going to have to choose between Le Cellier and Fantasmic, or Le Cellier and Teppan Edo.

I'd keep Le Cellier and go to Fantasmic the other night it is showing. Teppan Edo is usually an easier ADR to get. Can you move it to lunch on you Fantasmic day (assuming you have park hoppers)? The lunch and dinner menu are the same. :goodvibes

There's always a way to do it all! :)

I'm having similar issues with my Le Cellier reservation. I wasn't even dying to eat there at first, but so many people were raving about it that when a 4:50 reservation popped up during our trip I took it. Now I'm trying really hard to find a different day/time, but we all know how hard that is.

My MIL and her mother are meeting us for only 2 days of our 9 day trip and of course one of those days is the day we have our LC reservation. I just feel crappy that we'll be doing something without them for dinner when they are only there for 2 days and it's really quite early for us to be eating.

I'm hopeful something else will pop up.

But if it was a choice between dining in a particular restaurant or seeing Fantasmic I would choose Fantasmic. It's an incredible show and my all time favorite thing at Disney.

Good luck in making your decision.

Heather

I wouldnt select Le Cellier over Fantasmic. I've done Le Cellier and I think while the food is excellent, I'm not entirely sure why it's always booked to the hilt. We've been to Disney 4 times and NEVER seen Fantasmic and have always tried to get Fantasmic dinner package.... :scared1: go figure.

Go to Fantasmic... you've got less a chance of going there than you would Le Cellier next visit that's my opinion. :) Enjoy!

Go to Le Cellier and Fantasmic. Le Cellier is one of the most sought after dining locations for 2 reasons - 1) it is usually very good and 2) it still only requires 1 DDP redemption whereas other restaurants of its caliber (Disney Signature Dining - which oddly Le Cellier is not one of) require 2 DDP redemptions. When Disney is offering free Dine - which it currently is, you Le Cellier gets flooded.

Also, out of all the evening shows, Fantasmic is only offered a few nights a week, as you have pointed out. I would definitely check it out!

Some of the days that DHS offers Fantasmic, they have 2 shows, not one. Hopefully you can find a way to go to Le Cellier and catch one of the Fantasmic shows.

My suggestion is that you keep the reservation because I just can't imagine someone snatching something up and THEN trying to decide if they can use it while so many other people would love to go. I also can't imagine that person posting a thread about it, drawing attention to the fact they grabbed a sought after reservation but need to think about whether they can use it.

I had pretty much the same dilemma. We have Le Cellier booked the only night that Fantasmic is playing on our next trip. I really want to go to Le Cellier one last time before it goes to 2 TS credits....so we will catch Fantasmic next March.

I have never been to WDW during FD. I have always booked my ADR 180 days out, and have been lucky enough to eat at Le Cellier 3x. Each time the place has been PACKED and there have been plenty of folks waiting outside. Its a great dinner but it is only that dinner. I have also seen Fantasmic on each trip. While I sure enjoy eating I can't imagine a trip without seeing this show, at the end of the day you can only see Fantasmic at WDW but you can get a great steak anywhere. Only you can know whats right for your family.

Good luck with whatever you decide and as always Happy Planning.
