Has anyone ever had success with a Le Cellier walk-up? We have not been able to get an ADR and my hubby loves this place. We've walked up to other places at open and gotten in but I wonder about Le Cellier because it is so popular. When we were there in July I noticed many empty tables at our lunch and was surprised by that.

It depends on when you are going. ( High Season vs. Low Season )

My mother and I were able to walk up for lunch, but I have never been able to get in for dinner on a walk up basis.

We did last year, low season, right when they opened for dinner. We were a party of 4.

We called our the 1st day of our trip in Feb. and we got dinner reservation that same night. So it does not hurt to keep trying.

I was there last week (Oct 9) for dinner and watched several people walk up and every person was told it was reservations only. My dinner reservation was at 4:15pm and I was there at 3:50.

We had a reservation for 2 at 5:30 at the beginning of free dining in August. While we were waiting, someone came in to see if they could get a table and were politely told it was reservations only through a certain period of time (the week or month? I can't remember), and to try Rose and Crown. Then we saw a Le Cellier employee walk in and go up to the hosts at the counter and say, "I don't have a reservation but I was hoping for a table for six?" and they all laughed and jokingly punched him, like it was a huge staff joke about people expecting to walk-in and be seated there. ;)

If you're going in an off-time, maybe being there right as dinner starts or perhaps lunch? But in a busy time I'm betting it's a hard place to walk into.

It doesn't hurt to try but don't go expecting to get a walkup, just be surprised if you get in.

I tried this on a solo trip in September of one year and the hostess checked and said 'I do have a table for one, can you come back the second week of December?' I have an excellent sense of humor and we both had a good laugh about it, told her I was aware it was hard to get in and appreciated her looking, and we both still had a magical day!

I'm sure they get tired of people asking but that's what they are there for, just don't be upset with them if they don't have one. Thank them, move along, lots of other places to eat!

It is possible, but not probable. It depends on when you are going...If free dining is going on, and it is thru the end of December, the chances are not all that good

I always grab at least two ADR's for Le Cellier before our trip but we have been able to walk up to Le Cellier on our last three trips (twice on our last trip). I think some people just try it to see what all the buzz is about and it is finally wearing down a little. My hubby and kids just love the cheddar cheese soup, this is why we have to go all the time. Actually, now that I think of it. You can get the soup at the food and wine festival now. The food is good but I think you can get just as good at many restaurants especially in Epcot and the Epcot resorts. Keep trying but don't count out a walk up. I think it is not as hard to get anymore.

Sort of....We had a reservation for later in the day and we were there to cancel it and they asked if we wanted another time and we really couldn't fit any other time into our schedule and then they asked if we were free for the first seeting of lunch that day. We had to wait about 30 minutes until opening but the place was EMPTY and it was a Saturday! It can't hurt to try!

Wow, I'm surprised at the number of success stories of walk-ups at LC. Congrats:earsboy:

Agree with PPs, MAYBE for lunch but DON'T COUNT on dinner :-)

Was there just before labor day (low season), had to wait 40 minutes past ressie and heard AT LEAST 6 walk up parties turned away.

We had a 1:00 lunch reservation there this past January and when we checked in the cast members were all surprised that they were accepting walk ups. We still had to wait for a table, but there were quite a few empty tables when we got inside. You're probably more likely to get a walk up at lunch over dinner.

Every time I have gone in the past few years, there is a sign up outside that says reservations only, no walk ups. I do normally go during higher traffic times, as I am a teacher.:teacher:

Was there on Weds. September 2 for early dinner. Anyone who tried walking up (and there were several) was turned away.

You have a much better chance at lunch. Dinner is a long shot.
