We have battled through and come to agreement on all but two restaurants. Help us decide between the Concourse Steakhouse and Le Cellier at Epcot!! Thank you in advance for your help!!!

I know I am in the minority, but Concourse was by far the worst TS experience ever at WDW! Poor service, noisy atmosphere, and the toughest steak...nothing was cooked as ordered.

thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. Any other opinions? By the way,two of the four in our party are very picky eaters if that makes any difference.

Of the two, I would go with Le Cellier... I wasn't very impressed with Concourse Steakhouse.

Although I had a great experience at Concourse, I thought the food was better at Le Cellier. However, the tables at Le Cellier are very close together, which diminishes from the atmosphere of the meal.

If I were to do it again and could only choose 1 of the 2 I'd choose Le Cellier...

Well we are doing both this time. DH just loves Le Cellier and I have heard good thing about Concourse so will give it a try.

I can tell you DH is the fussiest eater I know and loves the food at LeCellier he loves his filet migneon and the bread...well he is planning on asking for some to go to!!!!!

Can't speak for Le Cellier, didn't eat there, but did at Concorse and the food was great all cooked to order. The NY Strip with the butter wine sauce is fabulous. We had the best waiter ever, Jorge, so great I'm writing to Disney about him. I think most Disney rests are noisy, but that's ok with me.

We found no matter where you went you had to ask for medium, slightly rare instead of medium rare. This way it came out perfect.

Believe it or not the best steak we had was at Coral Reef. My DD can't eat fish so she got the NY Strip, it was the best, I tasted it and wished I had gotten it myself. We did switch the potatoes that came with it to the roasted yukon's instead, yummy.... If you do pick Coral Reef you MUST have the warm chocolate dessert it is out of this world!!!!

There really is no comparision. Le Cellier is a much nicer restaurant overall and the food is excellent. Concorse Steakhouse was ok, nothing special.

Make sure to call ahead a few days maybe even a few weeks in order to get in Le Cellier. Depending upon the time of year, it is quite difficult to get in.

We HATED HATED HATED LeCellier. Poor excuse for steaks, horrible service, tables so close together that I could drink from the glass at the table next to me. It's the prom queen on this board but we don't get it at all. We won't return!

I made a reservation for Concourse on the same trip only because my FIL was with us and he's very much a meat and potato kind of guy. I was shocked when it became our 2nd best meal of the week! The food was excellent, service was excellent, filet was MUCH better quality that LeCellier, and had a better menu selection.

Most people have good LeCellier's experiences so I don't think you could go wrong with either - which is more convinent for you that day? I don't think either are worth trekking an hour out of the way for. Which menu appeals the most to your family?

Good luck!

We ate at both Concourse Steakhouse and LeCellier in September '06.
The meal at Concourse was good. I had NY Strip, DH had Prime Rib and DD had the BBQ ribs. Everything was very good and well prepared (only complaint was DD on the coleslaw and beans served with the ribs). However that meal did not compare to our meal at LeCellier. I had another NY Strip - absolutely delicious. DD had the fillet - perfect, and DH had the shrimp/pasta dish which he absolutely loved. DD just said last night that she would love to
have the soup and bread sticks and another piece of the chocolate cake from Le Cellier.
We probably won't go back to Concourse, but we will definately do LeCellier again. The only restaurant we may have liked a little better than LeCellier was Kona Cafe.
Which ever you choose, I feel sure you will have a wonderful meal.

We have eaten at both multiple times, had different items and liked both. I would have to give the edge to Le Cellier though on atmosphere and the variety. The Concourse has a crazy good red wine sauce though that I think is worth the trip all by itself. Oh, if they only sold it in jars! :)

The difficulty in asking this sort of question is that different people eat different things and have different expectations of what good is. You will most likely get a different server and be seated at a different table with a different cook (there are very few chefs at WDW btw) than everyone else who has posted. At Le Cellier, I have been seated at the center of the room and in the back corner booth. Two completely different experiences with different wait staff. One set was just ok and the other set was extraordinary.

LeCellier is a must do for us on every trip, if we can get in. You must try the cheddar cheese soup!

Concourse steakhouse is kind of just blah. Too similar to any old restaurant in any (non WDW) hotel, IMHO.

I would go with LeCellier, hands down.

I would vote for LeCellier too, I've never been there but I plan to on my Sept trip. We had such rude service and were rushed when we went last september at the concourse that it ruined our last night there and by the time we spoke to a manager (I'm not one to complain but this was horrible) and she cancelled our order it was too late to go anywhere else so we wound up back at the hotel for snacks. I was shocked considering the wonderful service we got from Chef Mickey's but I guess they're run in two completely different ways

Funny how oppinions differ. We went to Concourse last year and it was such a good meal (one of our favorites) that we booked it for our anniversary this year. We LOVED the steak and having a table all by ourself with no one around us, great service, outstanding food. My DH is VERY picky about steak and he ate every bite and kept saying what a great meal it was and how we will go back every trip. Kids loved the painters pallettes desert. It was a GREAT meal. I am not impressed with Lecellier's menu at all, we were going to try it this year but with the new menu cancelled and stuck with Concourse, can't wait to eat there again!!!

My husband and I went to both Le Cellier and the Concourse on our last trip. Both of us agreed that Le Cellier was the better of the two. The atmosphere was cozier and the food was outstanding. While the food at the Concourse was good there was also the slow service, noise from Chef Mickey's and the chill factor from the monorail that passed overhead that had to be taken into account.

I suppose it depends on what you are wanting. If you are basing this on steak - LeCellier. If you are basing it on atmosphere - LeCellier. If you are basing it on dessert - Concourse Butterfinger Cheesecake!!:rotfl:
