Le Cellier too stuffy?

My family ate at LeCellier last year for lunch and I did not find it stuffy at all. All 4 adults in our party felt like it was the best tasting meal of the entire trip. I gave my 4 year old son the cute chocolate mousse dessert. He thought it was so funny. He still talks about that dessert! He also really liked the pretzel bread.

Le Cellier is not the least bit stuffy. It's pretty noisy in there anyway. I would bring any age child there. It won't be a problem.

Le Cellier was a signature restaurant when dh and I went, this was back in hmmm... 2003 maybe? 2004 or 2005? I remember becuase the next year when we went back it was only 1 and dh and I were like "it was SO worth 2, but yay it's only 1!!"

The only issue I have with Le Cellier is the closeness of the tables. Not much privacy at all. If your children are the type that get wiggly and want to get out of their seats, they'll likely be bumping other peoples tables and elbows. I don't know why they can't spread their tables out better, even if it means missing a couple of meal sales an hour.

We were lucky enough to get a lunch reservation for Le Cellier for our trip in December. We have 4 y/o boy/girl twins (who will have *just* turned 5 y/o for the trip) and I'm worried that it might be a bit too stuffy for them (and maybe for me!).

Any thoughts? I know it's a sought after reservation, but just have a hard time picturing myself for a fancy lunch while in the midst of all the cool things around me!

Thanks,
Heather

We ate there last year with DS2 and DD4. Its fine for Kids, make sure the food is cooked ( we had to send 'pink' chicken back which was served to our DS2)

Not stuffy at all. Features regional Canadian cuisine and it's very kid friendly.

This is very true. When we went a few months ago with my DS4 I requested a table near a wall or corner if possible. They actually had a corner table available and it worked out great! It is only a request, but it never hurts to ask. Have a great time!

You know the que for POTC?...it looks sort of like that only a bit darker.

Seriously, the servers and patrons are fairly laid back here, and are usually just happy to be sitting during a day of park touring! No worries!:goodvibes

we've never felt it was stuffy at all... and have seen kids there each visit. the restaurant is right in a park; you will not feel out of place :) the restaurant is quite small and is a bit darker but not pretentious :)
