Just saw this on allears...to begin in March 2011. Now, we always enjoy Le Cellier, but no way do I think it's worth two dining credits.

I don't think I would use 2 credits either. I also saw somewhere that there was talk about eliminating dessert with the dining plan too. I am not a big dessert eater after a meal, but I think lots of people would not be happy with that as a change either.

the rumor about dropping the dessert has been discounted pretty thoroughly...people have emails from Disney saying the entitlements are not changing for 2011.

Hopefully this will make it easier to get an ADR for. I never use the DP so as long as prices aren't changing this won't affect me. It's a good restaurant, but not fantastic. I usually never consider it because it's so hard to get in to, but perhaps now I can add it back in to my rotation.

We do Le Cellier as last night for the last several trips and I enjoy the mushroom fillet very much but Im sorry it isnt worth 2 credits not in food or in atmosphere. Not like Calli Grll, Jiko,Narcosee or Citricos..IMHO atleast. Im dissapointed about that..

I hope that this will mean the standard at Le Cellier will once again rise to where it was when we dined there in 2007 - by far and away, the best meal of our trip that year - not so impressed since (with either the menu options or the standard of the food).

Well, the prices for the dinner meals at Le Cellier were/are in line with the prices at many of the signature restaurants so I can see why they would increase it to a 2 point meal.

Now whether or not the meals are worth the prices they charge is an entirely different story.

Now that we are AP holders we have decided to give up the dining plan and do the Tables In Wonderland card instead.

No one should be surprised by this, as this has been strongly rumored for months now and was only a matter of time before it was announced. I fear that my nice quiet lunch will be no more. I don't use the DDP and eat there because I have a few favorites. I'm guessing getting a dinner will be easier now. As for lunch, I'm guessing it will be crowded, but their menu is more limited in choices than their dinner menu (more sandwiches, salads, and lighter meals).

Am I misunderstanding or are they only raising it to 2 DC per person for dinner and not lunch? If so wouldn't that make lunch even harder to get?
