I am trying to fine tune the dining reservations for our trip next month.

All are for dinner in order.

Kona
Le Cellier/Teppan Edo (I have reservations for both!)
Chef Mickeys
Tonys Town Square
Le Cellier
Sci-Fi
Ohana

DH has never been to Le Cellier before so we will for sure be keeping one of them. I made two because I couldn't think of any other restaurant to book at the time. Then I started thinking about Teppan Edo. Is the whole restaurant Hibachi? I've not been there since it was Teppanyaki and that was years ago. We'll be on the dining plan.
DH loves the local Japanese Hibachi restaurant so I thought it might be worth cancelling the first Le Cellier reservations for... but I just really love Le Cellier and I'm the type of person who goes where she is comfortable so I'm scared to try to Teppan Edo. I admit it.

I'm not sure about Chef Mickey's, either. Just seems like so many wishy-washy reviews! We'll be in MK that day, no PH, so I kinda used it as a filler.

So .... is Teppan Edo worth it? Or should I keep my 2nd Le Cellier reservation? :rotfl:

Love Teppen Edo -good food & fun. A must do every trip for us :thumbsup2

Chef Mickey's - same as above love it :thumbsup2

Give Teppan Edo a try, also keep CM my family loves dinner there (I'm not crazy about the food, but I get out voted) the atmosphere is really fun.

IMHO I would go to Teppan Edo instead of Le Cellier twice. WE also went to Teppan Edo a few years ago, thought it was ok. This time it was one of our favorite meals.

You should make a decision soon cause you r blocking somebody from booking either place.

ha i always go to the Japanese restaurant and i'm thinking of doing le cellier this year instead. Love the Japanese place!

That would be a hard decision for me also because I love LeCellier. We like Teppen Edo too, so maybe you should give it a try. The food is good and the chefs are very entertaining.
I like the character interaction at Chef Mickey, but the food stinks. (Sorry, all you CM lovers, but I think there are much better buffets out there.)

Have a wonderful time!

Tapan Edo is a lovely hibachi experience. To explain the building, it is like most hibachi places that have a sushi bar/seating area out front, but completely separate from the hibachi show. That being said, the food is FABULOUS!!! It is grilled rice, meats, and cut veggies, so nothing really to be scared of. :) Bon appetit! popcorn::

All 4 of us in my family vastly prefer Teppan Edo to LeCellier. I would for sure keep that one rather than eat at LeCellier twice.

another vote for Teppan Edo. It is a must for my DH and I.
CM we only go to see the Mickey. THe food is just ok

We have never eaten at either Le Cellier or Teppan Edo. We do, however, have lunch ADRs for Le Cellier and cannot wait. We would love to try Teppan Edo sometime as well. IMHO, I would try the Teppan Edo since you already have a ressie for Le Cellier, the one thing about dining at Disney is that you have to open your horizons more and try new things....that's whats so great about eating in the countries, you can try out different flavors and cultures. Good luck.

Teppan Edo is fantastic!
We went there last time with 3 people who rarely eat anything other than chicken tenders and burgers. None of them were at all excited about it, but they all loved it. Give it a try! You get teh great food, and the chefs are usually very entertaining! :goodvibes

Hi Patsy! :) We had dinner at Teppan Edo on our last trip & it was great, would definitely do it again. :thumbsup2

I have to admit never having had dinner at Le Cellier, so can't make any kind of fair comparison. I did make a Le Cellier reservation, but when we upgraded to deluxe dining, I dumped it in favor of the Yachtsman Steakhouse.;)

You will regret eating twice at LeCellier. The food is good but not that good. I would go Teppan Edo. It will be so much more fun.:wizard:

I vote Teppan Edo too-
The whole dining experience is wonderful, the food is very good and the politeness of the waitstaff is great.
it's not your local hibachi place:)

But Le Cell has nice food too- but I think over -hyped.
ask my family & they would say Teppan Edo every time.

I give another :thumbsup2 for Teppan Edo. It was our families favorite meal this past June. Yes, we have eaten at similar places around home...but the experience was fantastic. The food was excellent, the service was perfect and the *show* was a lot of fun for our kids. It was the one place both our kids asked to return to in December.
There are too many places to dine in WDW! I wouldn't eat at the same place during one vacation.... Even LeCellier. Yes, it is very good...but definately not worth giving up a new experience to eat at twice.

Okay. I offered up the Chef Mickeys and Le Cellier reservations on the October thread.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I might try to book a breakfast with the extra TS credit now! :)
