Le Cellier Substitutions

My DH has been wanting to try Le Cellier since he had the soup many moons ago at F&W back in his single days. He said it didn't have to be on our first family trip but I knew he really wanted it so I booked it for lunch. I have looked at the menu and see a few mains such as the filet that sound good but the sides that come with it arent' something I'm crazy about. Is it possible to substitute a different side with a different main? TIA

It's been my experience that as long as the preferred side is available on the menu with any entree, you can make the substitution.

You can usually substitute a side that is listed in the description of another entree (mains). Just ask your server. If it is listed in a separate section of the menu and has a price point (e.g. side dishes, enhancements or accompaniments section) you will have to pay out of pocket if you order one of these sides.

Thank you so much!! I wouldn't have told him I would have just ordered an app for my meal but I'm so happy to know that I can get the filet and just sub for mashed pots or something.

They do not allow the mashed potatoes as they are an additional charge and not offered with any of the one person entrees. They are only offered as a priced side or with the $119 4 credit Porterhouse for two. They will sub fingerling potatoes or purple sweet potatoes.
