We currently have a reservation for 4 guest at Le Cellier but actually need it for 5. I believe when you make reservations online they are all booked for adults, reason I know this is I was making a change and called into make the change and the CSR told me this.

Anyways, since it's 4 adults the 5th would be my DD who is 1. Would we be able to get her in without having to wait longer?

We had a similar problem 2 years ago. The folks at the Japanese restaurant and the Coral Reef made teh adjustment when we got there. Didn't seem to wait any longer!

Your chance of adding that extra person (even with her being 1) will be virtually impossible at LeCellier.

Couple reasons:
First reason is, LC is very small. The dining area is tight, the tables are practically on top of one another. So "fitting" an extra in...doesn't work.

Next is because they are always booked solid. Partly because it is so small, but it is wildly popular.

They won't turn the original party away, just won't seat an extra person.
And your chance of "waiting" is slim as well. LC, doesn't usually have walkups available, which is what you will be considered with an extra person.

Most restaurant the wait is 2+ hours, but LC, you had my as well play the Big Game lottery and win, that is how well your chance is.
Sorry, just don't want you to be mislead.

Keep trying for an opening, they do open up occasionally.

You may be fine. However, the baby will make you a party of five, not four, and you will be seated as a party of five, no matter that you made the reservation for four. Le Cellier is a very small restaurant. If it happens to be full, fire codes won't allow for them to squeeze in an extra person. If it's not full they might be able to make it happen.

I would keep trying to change the reservation to five or six - it's easier to subtract a person than add one - and you can always try, but you should be prepared to go somewhere else or have one of the adults agree to go somewhere else (obviously the baby can't).

Or check for a reservation about the same time for a party of 1 or 2. They will usually be able to seat everyone at the same table even if you are on 2 different ADR's.

Your daughter and 4 adults will be considered 5 guests. I was able to add an extra guest at LC for dinner (4 guests to 5). I believe we showed up 1 hr before our scheduled ressie and were accommodated, no questions asked. Not sure how often it happens, but it worked for me.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I called the CSR and they said she could sit in our lap if we wanted to but I don't know how well that would work out so I guess I'll be trying to find 1 seat during lunch if I can't find 5 seats.

You called the Coronado Springs Resort? It's not likely they know anything about how Le Cellier will handle guest number issues. And even if the child sits in a lap, at the podium she will count as a person and you will go in as a party of five. It's not about the space, it's about restaurant capacity and fire codes.

It's an outside chance because the restaurant would have to be so full that adding an extra person would result in a fire code violation, but there's a chance, so you should keep trying to change the reservation to accommodate everyone. There's a better chance that you'll get in, but likely with a longer wait.

No, I called the Dining Customer Service Rep. and that's what he told me.
