Ok. Looked at my MYW dining and realized that both the Yachtsman & Le Cellier are "signature" meals. As I don't want to waste 4 credits on 2 meals, I was wondering which of the two you liked best.

I like both, but give a slight edge to Le Cellier. Le Cellier's chefs have never interpreted "medium" to mean cook the steak until it's a charcoal briquet -- something Yachtsman has done on occasion. I don't like my steak still "mooing", but then again I'm not looking for it to be the start of the next Hope diamond either!

I LOVE Le Cellier. The service was wonderful and we were seated early. My mom and I split the herb crusted prime rib with a veal demi glace(a sauce) and it came with roasted potatoes. YUM! It was the best steak I had ever had in my entire life. :goodvibes My dad got the freerange chicken with cream cheese mashed potatoes. It was crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. He loved it. :goodvibes The pretzel bread that you get with your meal is so good and you'll also get a sourdough and 7 grain bread which are very good. We didn't have room for desser but the desserts looked amazing. I highly recommend Le Cellier. :flower:

I'd think about a couple of things. Personally, I wouldn't wear park attire to the Yachtsman. I wouldn't think twice about it at Le Cellier of course.

Also if you've got kids with you, IMHO Le Cellier is more "family friendly", noisier kids aren't going to "stickout" as much.

I think the food at YSH is superior, but not enough so that it would sway me either way--there's a better wine list at YSH if that's important to you. The service at Le Cellier is friendly, at the YSH it's somewhat more polished.

I think it comes down to which atmosphere you prefer, and which would be more appropriat for your party--I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever you choose!

We have eaten at both. Le Cellier was a good meal, but YSH was amazing! I dont think I could go back to Le Cellier after going to YSH.
I also feel another deciding factor should be what you are looking for. To me Le Cellier seemed more casual, where are YSH was definitely nicer.

My DH--a "slab of meat" fanatic--and I ate at both last year, and, although both were exceptional, we fell in love with Le Cellier. Years ago, my sister-in-law had an awful experience there, so we were a bit gunshy. The experience was magnificent, however. Our waiter was so kind and attentive, my husband drooled over his steak, my scallops were the size of golf balls and were in this..."sauce" (it was indescribable, but my mouth is watering just thinking about them...does that give you a clue?), and the breads were fantastic! YS was wonderful as well, but there was just some sort of "magic" that occurred at Le Cellier when we were there. We're on the MYW dining plan for June, and I can't wait to take advantage of their appetizers and desserts this time! Truly, you can't go wrong either way (YS's prime rib was very flavorful), but our vote's for going Canadian!

We love them both! I think Anne summed it up best. What are you looking for. If you are looking for a nice night out in an elegant surrounding with great food go for Yachtsman. If you are looking for it to be part of your park experience then go for LeCellier. I don't think you can go wrong at either place.

Thanks everyone for your input. After reading everyone's post, I think I'll give Le Cellier a chance at dinner. I've been here for lunch, but it was usually only for the burger, so getting a nice steak and dessert sounds great.

If we had to only do one we would go with Yachtsman. It is more upscale and the atmosphare is that of a true steakhouse.

Hands down -- LeCellier. Great steak. Lunch is the better "deal." Also, check out the children's menu -- nice steak on that one & reasonably priced, if you have young ones who like steak!

Am going solo on this trip, so it will be just me dining. I've dined at Le Cellier for lunch and was happy, so with the meal plan, I thought it would be nice to try here for dinner.
