I know these two restaurants probably don't compare but I can't decide on having lunch at Le Cellier or at Sci-Fi. I have never been to any of the two but I really want to try both , I can only choose one. I want to try LC for the cheddar cheese soup, and at SF not so much the food but the fact that I can sit in a cool little car drive-in style. I know kind of dumb? Any help?

Go with LeCellier!!! The Sci-Fi's food does not even begin to compare. It is a fun experience to eat in the car tables, but if you can only do one or the other, go with the quality food at LeCellier.

Not sure when you are going but if you don't book Le Cellier on the exact earliest booking window, it will most likely be sold out. The value is MUCH better at Le Cellier.

The mushroom filet mignon is really, really good at LeCellier. In fact, it's my favorite meal in disney. The atmosphere is quiet, small, sort of dark and on the romantic side. We do take our kids there and don't feel uncomfortable about it, though.

But if you want atmosphere (and not-so-great food.....), then go with Sci Fi. Do you have kids going along? If so, they would want SciFi over LeCellier, probably, because of the fun factor. Personally, we are going to both restaurants.

The food is much better at Le Cellier. The atmospehere is a lot of fun at Sci-Fi. And the Sci-Fi food is not bad, just pedestrian. I thought my onion rings, cheeseburger and shake were tasty, but certainly not upscale or fancy.
But, if there are good steak houses in your hometown, they might have meals that rival LeCellier. A great steak might be something you can get at home; dinner in a car at an old skool drive-in is something I can't do at home.

They each have their merits, and I don't think you'll be disappointed with either, provided you know what to expect.

I would go to Le Cellier for lunch. Another time go to the Sci Fi for an ice cream dessert.

Definitely Le Cellier!!!!!!!! Sci Fi is fun and good but compared to Le Cellier it's not as good.

The real question should be, "where are you going to be, EPCOT or DHS ? I wouldn't leave one just to go eat at the other. With that - Le Cellier !

I don't even care for the atmosphere at Sci-Fi. Okay, the cars and stars are neat, but I don't like the film clips. Not into Sci-Fi, and I didn't find them to be good dinner entertainment! Except for Tom & Jerry.

Definitely Le Cellier.

My DF likes Sci Fi, so we usually go there for lunch and pay OOP. We don't use any DDP credits there.

Sci-Fi is a must do for us. We keep booking LC and cancelling (ate there once and it was just ok). So I guess you know where I stand :)

Le Cellier hands down - food is much better. I thought Sci-fi would be really cool - and I didn't think it was all that great. For HS I much prefer the interaction at Prime Time 50's

I like Le Cellier's prime rib sandwich at lunch. It's soooo good.

For an average atmosphere, a fabulous bowl of soup and very good steak:LeCellier
For a fun atmosphere and a great burger, onion rings and shake: Sci-Fi.

Never been to LC. If you are on the DDP, it seems like a better deal, and everyone seems to think good food...

But Sci-Fi was so much fun when DH and I went in 2003. We are going this year and we are paying OOP here and eating elsewhere with DDP credits. The milkshakes were gooood in 2003. So it would be fun to grab dessert or a snack (onion rings and artichoke dip are said to be good as well).

Also, if you have kids, they might not be as well behaved and entertained at LC and make the meal less relaxing. HOWEVER, Sci-Fi is a little dark, so be aware of that (some kids might be scared).

This choice is like asking which car would you rather drive a BMW 740i or a Honda Accord.

Le' Cellier hands down. :thumbsup2
