Ok I have ressies for Le Cellier but we have eaten there the past two times we have been to WDW(read everytime we have been). I really don't plan on being in EPCOT the day we have reservations for and we don't have park hopper tickets. So I was thinking of going to Kona instead. Would you give up the HTG Le Cellier reservations and go to Kona? :confused3

understand that, i was born a ramblin man :rotfl: we go to Le Cellier twice each trip and never tire of it. so ya know where my vote goes

DH and I love both places. I personally wouldn't use a park ticket just for Le Cellier, especially if you've been before. I say go to Kona - try the sticky wings as an app :)

We're trying both for the first time on our next trip. From everything I've read, KONA is a "must do", especially since you've been to LeCellier!! :thumbsup2

They happen to be our two favorite restaurants at WDW, but LeCellier is still #1!

IMO, Kona lacks somewhat in atmosphere--it is not unlike a lobby restaurant you would find in any big city hotel. But the food and presentation are very good, and the desserts are much better than LeCellier. Its certainly not worth paying for park tickets just to get to LeCellier--I'm sure you would enjoy Kona.

Hmmm, on the other hand, maybe I would rearrange my schedule to keep those valuable LeCellier reservations................!?!

Kona gets my vote :thumbsup2 Le Cellier probably has a better atmosphere, but when it comes down to it, they better food gets my vote! :teeth:

Kona. The food is better. I don't mind the atmosphere at all. I love to wander around the Poly before or after a nice meal at Kona. The lobby is gorgeous. Time it right & you can go to the beach after dinner & watch the fireworks.

Thanks for the suggestions..Now does anyone want the perfect 7:10 ressie at LeCellier on Friday Dec 1. IllumiNations is at 9:30. That gives you 2 hours to eat and 20 mintues to find a place to watch the show :rotfl2: Maybe I'll hold them a while longer and see if we want to rearange the schedule. See my problem those ressies were just so hard to get. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I would hold onto them a bit longer to see if you can rearrange things. I know how hard the LeCellier ressies are to get; and when we were there in August, they were turning away people left and right w/out ADRs. We enjoyed Kona very much (LOVED the sticky wings and the medallions of filet mignon--delicious!!) but LC is still a family favorite. I don't think I'd give them up so easily; I'd try to work it out so that we could go a different night!

We enjoy both. The medallions of filet mignon at Kona are better than an beef I have ordered at Le Cellier and I do love Le Cellier. But I was actually able to cut those bad boys with a fork!!! The only area that Le Cellier excels in over Kona is appetizer selection. The crab cakes at Kona are good not great, and the sticky wings are very good. The entrees are equal but Kona gets the edge for desserts!!
