I am starting to think about our trip to WDW (yes, I know... December is pretty far away) and am trying to figure out which restaurant to eat at for dinner one night while at Epcot. My original choice was Le Cellier, but then after examing the menu at Chefs de France, I am very tempted to go there instead. I would LOVE some input about which one you prefer and maybe some food pics. THANKS!!!

We ate at Le Cellier for the first time in September .... I really loved it; however, it is a small restaurant and can be somewhat difficult to get ADR's for your desired time.

I'm personally not too big on French restaurants ...

Anyway, my opinion would be to try for Le Cellier and if you couldn't get a suitable ADR, try for France.

I booked Les Chefs when I couldn't get my beloved Le Cellier for my November trip and LOVED it! I got the mac 'n' cheese which was to die for:

And my boyfriend got the quiche, he said it was very good:

Thanks soooo much for the pics!!! The food looks delicious!

We really prefer Le Cellier, though we also very much enjoy Chefs de France. It really depends what you’re looking for. Although both restaurants have French names, they are not both French restaurants. Le Cellier is more Canadian steakhouse with just a very little bit of French inspired cooking…but mostly it’s steakhouse food…much more North American cuisine than French.

Chefs de France, on the other hand, is French café food…not “fancy” French, but what you’d find at a corner café. The recipes do emphasize French sauces, cooking methods, and traditional French ingredients. Not a steakhouse by any stretch.

We’ve eaten at both restaurants more than once, and actually ate at both places May 2009. Here’s the link to my dining review:

Post 91 at the top of the page is about Chefs; post 101 in middle of page is about Le Cellier.

My husband and I went to both restaurants, both for the first time last September. We have very different perspectives wen it comes to food, so I'll give you both our opinions, maybe it will help.

Me: I would say Chefs de France. Not because Le Cellier was bad, but because I really enjoyed Chefs de France and our waitress was excellent. She made recommendations, and following them, lead to :thumbsup2. I had the salmon dish, lobster bisque, and creme brulee. My husband had the romaine salad, roasted chicken, and profiteroles. (We were on the dining plan, but it was a Prix Fixe. Both meals were great.

My husband would say Le Cellier. He loves steak, specifically Filet, and while I know Le Cellier may not have the best filet anywhere, it's something we definitely don't go out and have when at home. Our waited, while polite, and expedient, was not as good here. He did not keep up with our drinks, which irks my husband. We both had the filet, and both enjoyed them very much.

As others have said, Le Cellier is more of a steakhouse. It is also a bit dark in there, and cool (which makes sense given the name.) It was also relatively quiet, which was nice for the two of us. Our ADR was at 3:00, I don't know if that made a difference. Chefs de France is the kind of French food I'd like to think my mom would make, if we were French. It is also much brighter, and you can see the people walking by. It was also a bit noisier, but just people talking, no screaming kids or parents. I think to make the choice you'll have to figure out what you want to eat.
