Hi everybody-
We are a mother/20-year-old daughter who will be vacationing in WDW in mid-May. On one of our EPCOT days, we want to have lunch at one of the WS restaurants. I have probably heard more good reviews about Le Cellier than I have about Chefs de France. However, which one would you recommend strictly from an ambiance point of view. DD is a picky eater, so she probably won't be too adventurous no matter where we eat. We're mainly going to a WS restaurant for the experience.

So, which one would you recommend for atmosphere?

Thanks in advance!

We had lunch at LeCellier for the first time last Wednesday. It was fine. Nothing special. We had the Canadian Cheese Soup that everyone raves about. It was good - a $5.00 cup of soup. I had a steak burger and my DH and DS (19) had french dip sandwiches. Again, fine. I thought the restaurant was rather plain. It didn't do anything for me. Service was okay.

I felt the same way about Spoodles on Tuesday night. It was fine. Our food was good. Overpriced, but good.

I know people rave about many of these restaurants, and, truthfully, I don't get it.

For atmosphere alone, I would choose Chefs de France. I've never eaten there, but I thought LeCellier had very little atmosphere.

Just my two cents, of course.

My wife and I enjoy both restaurants. For lunch and ambiance,Chefs' wins hand down. Le Cellier is dark and close and has an excellent dinner menu. Chefs de France, in my opinion has a better choice of lunch items, many of which are not exotic.

We had dinner at both Chefs De France and Le Cellier, but I've looked over the menus for lunch at both.

Ambience wise, Chefs De France wins. You feel like you are really in a Parisian bistro. We enjoyed the food here, but weren't blown away. No need to go back on the next trip.

For the picky eater, I think lunch at Le Cellier wins. They have burgers and the like. The ambience isn't bad, just a typical nice restaurant.

I would say Chefs de France...

But if you're going to a restaurant based on ambiance alone, have you considered San Angel Inn? It's a really enchanting experience if you've never eaten there before!

Thanks everyone - keep 'em coming! I appreciate your input. Mariamouse - we actually have eaten at San Angel Inn and I agree, that the ambiance is great. We sat next at a table overlooking the waterway and loved watching the boats sail through.

Your daughter is 20? Then Chefs de France. Nothing like those good looking French waiters with their lovely accents. She might not notice the food at all. We were there a week ago and man oh man....

I might be the one who doesn't notice the food - but don't tell my husband! :earseek:
