I'm soooo torn! I currently have ressies for Le Cellier for lunch, mainly due to all of the positive reviews here and raves for the cheese soup and pretzel bread. But now I'm wondering about the Beirgarten (did I spell that right?). I love German food but don't get to have it often due to where we live, so it would be a treat.

What does one have to offer over the other? How do I make up my mind? And, no, I can't have one for lunch and one for dinner because we already have dinner plans that, according to dh, are fixed and will not be changed.

My opinion....it's apples and oranges. Le Cellier's menu is steak, cheese soup, etc. can be heavy but you have choices to keep it lighter for lunch. At Biergarten it's a buffet of pork, sausage and roast chicken. Good, but heavy. Depends on what your planning to do rest of day, how hungry you'll be, etc. My choice, Le Cellier - hands down.

Personally I would do both. Le Cellier has excellent food but you can't beat the atmosphere at Biergarten. Plus I love the food at the Biergarten...all you can eat sausage.

Truthfully, I would do both also. Le Celliar is always so hard to get and congrats on getting it, with that being said I WOULD DEF. KEEP THAT ONE!! Biergarten is good too and the atmosphere is awesome too and the food is wonderful too. KEEP THEM BOTH!!!

They are two totally different dining experiences and we are fans of both. I think Beirgarten would be the winner because of the variety of fantasic foods, atmosphere, music, dancing etc.

The potato leek soup with a pretzel breadstick at Beirgarten is so much better than the cheese soup at Le Cellier. We have been to both many times and we think the pretzel bread is the same...longer at Le Cellier but still the same

We finally ate at LeCellier last April because we never had an adr and it was always booked.I finally made the adr and dd and dh said the steak was awesome they both left hungry even with the pretzel bread and salad..it was just not enough.I had a seafood dish and was not happy with it at all,my mistake-should have had a steak just was not in the mood (thats why I hate adrs).Biergarten is a ritual for us.Its the first place we eat when we arrive! We love it ans you get soooo much food and a large choice of it! The performance adds to your meal.ps-you do sit with other people here if that is something you don't care for.Good Luck:goodvibes

I agree with you about the seafood dish - I didn't like it at all. Other than that the food is great and I highly recommend it. Biergarten is a much more fun atmostphere, but IMO the food is better at Le Cellier.
