Le Cellier-No Availability-Any Advice?

Definitely keep calling. We just got back from our trip and I called unsuccessfully several times a day for MONTHS and then the night before we were to leave, I miraculously scored a ressie at the perfect time. And it was totally worth it! So don't give up hope yet!

I am looking for Le Cellier for Jan 15-17 for 2 adults at any time..... . I have called everyday for 3 weeks and still no availability

When we went Nov. 1-8, there were a lot of open times during that week when I made our reservations. I figured November would be a busier time than January.

Do you think it would be possible to walk up at opening and maybe get a table for 2?

I am having the same problem booking a table for 2 later in the month than you. I was able to easily get all my other ADR's. I'm thinking maybe they only have 1 table for 2 or something? Anyway, the last time I called the CM told me she was seeing plenty of availability for "larger groups."

Yesterday I cancelled Le Cellier at 2:35 on Thursday 1/15 for a party of 8. I hope you can get in.

I believe due to the numerous Mennonite communities in Canada. The breads served in the restaurant are meant to represent the various areas of the country, and there are many anabaptist groups across Canada.

The cheese soup's good but it isn't worth the kind of hype Le Cellier's getting. Never underestmate the power of a one-credit steakhouse inside a theme park.

I'd bet if Le Cellier cost two credits there'd be open spaces most every day.

Agree. Nothing against LeCellier. I just don't understand the hype.

OP -- try an off time. Otherwise there are plenty of good places in the world to dine.
If no off time is available, I doubt walk up will work at all for you.

When we went last spring I heard the hostess telling a woman (who was trying to get a walk-up for lunch) that she should try coming back right when the dinner hour starts (I think 4 p.m. ) as sometimes they are able to take a walk up then.

That would make sense as usually right at opening a lot of places do have availability. However the places can start filling up to capacity very soon afterwards.

CM's have been known to tell guests to ask for a table for 3 and they are usually able to get a table...right wrong or indifferent people have done it

I think that is just wrong. If there is an open table, then they should give it to the person seeking it, regardless of the size of the party vs. the size of the open table. With that policy, it means if I walk up with 2 and that larger table was open I would be told no, while a party of say 4 walks up after me and would be seated?

I wouldn't feel bad then making the reservation for 3, and when you show up with 2 people, just say someone stayed back at the hotel ill. Bad customer policies don't deserve good customer behavior.

I'm trying to get a reservation too, but I have that whole week and no luck yet.
