We are a party of four: two Meat-and-potatoes no frou frou types (ie thinks Kona is the BEST) and two very adventurous try-anything types...slept in on Sunday (our ninety-day mark...oops) and of course could not get Le Cellier for dinner when I finally thought about it at 9 a.m. so booked Chefs instead. Then got to thinking, maybe I could get LC for lunch, and I did. Which (if you have eaten at both) should I keep?

Probably not the right answer but I prefer Le Chefs for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner. We did not enjoy the one Le Cellier lunch we had; the dinner menu is much better. And Le Chefs, we think has a decent lunch menu but we have not been over the top thrilled with our dinners there.

I would check the menus for these particular meals and then decide. Both restaurants will be crowded and noisy with close together tables so I would base the decision on which menu you think fits your group.

I haven't been to Chefs (will be trying that in December), but we have had lunch and dinner at Le Cellier. They have the mushroom filet (DH's favorite) at both lunch and dinner. They took away with my bbq filet so I to find something else. They still have all the same appys and desserts at lunch.

I tried the burger at lunch and it was very good - more like a gourmet burger (with blue cheese) and not a regular burger. The fries were awesome steak fries.

I would definitely check out the lunch menu and see if it has something you would like.

I'm actually very excited about trying LeCellier for lunch. We actually booked lunch on purpose. DH can get his filet and I want to try the prime rib sandwich.

Pakey, we agree with you. We ate at LC for lunch on Sunday, and aside from the signature cheddar soup, we were quite disappointed with the robustness of the menu. It was a bust, but my fault entirely for stupidly talking DW out of Le Chefs. :sad2:

We had dinner at Le Chefs and DH loved it, where I thought it was just ok. Loved the cheese course, loved the salad, loved the dessert, my entree was not at all good. I got the duck and it was extra fatty and gross (and I like a slightly fatty duck). DH got the veg. lasagna and practically licked his bowl clean. I'd eat there again, but order something else. Oh, and the tables are packed super close together, totally annoying since we were next to a family with 4 little kids. Now, my kids are 4, 2, and 1, but these kids were jumping, shouting, stomping on feet, and just make a ruckus. Another foot of space between the tables might've made a big difference. :)

I'd probably keep Le Cellier. Unless their lunch menu has changed since January we've never had any issues with it, though there are fewer options for lunch than dinner I think. Still, there are a few sandwiches, a steak or two, we've always found something to our liking.
