We currently have a lunch ADR at Le Cellier, because we couldn't get dinner. Now I am wondering, should I maybe try for a dinner at R&C instead? We have been to Le Cellier for dinner last year. My husband loved it, I liked it a lot (thought the best part of the meal was my husband's terderloin kebab appetizer, which I see is no longer on the menu  ). We plan on spending several hours in WS, so either dinner or lunch will work for us, though we prefer eating our large meal at dinnertime. I like the menu for R&C, but is it better than lunch at LC? Can anyone offer me a comparison, in terms of food, service, atmosphere? Of course, this may be a moot point if I'm unable to get a R&C dinner at this point! Any advice? Thanks!

I vote for R&C! Having been to both, Le Cellier is good, but R&C is better! Food choices are wide - the shepards pie is great, and if you book a dinner ressie around 8pm you can ask to be seated outside to view Illuminations. A not to be missed experience!!:thumbsup2 They will say they cannot guarantee - and they can't- but you can always ask and they will do there best to accommodate. I usually arrive at least 1/2 before my ADR time to make my request so I can wait for a table if I have to. We go in the shops, see the local entertainment, etc. Le Cellier is dark, the tables are close together and the food is mostly steak. R&C has chicken, beef, and traditional English fare.

Only had dinner at Le Cellier, so can't judge their lunch, but dinner at Rose & Crown is great:goodvibes . Their staff is top-notch, the food is great, and we were lucky enough to be seated on the patio with a perfect view :) (our 25th anniversary celebration might have had something to do with this). We are going back to both when we return, but Rose & Crown was definately one of the highlights on our trip:thumbsup2 .

Le Cellier for lunch is awesome but I want to try Rose and Crown too!

OUCH! Tough choice...like choosing between a hug or a kiss! ;)

I only had dinner at LeCellier and only had lunch at Rose & Crown!!
Being a big fan of beer:drinking1 , my choice would be the Rose & Crown. Great selection of english ales and stouts, on tap, and a really great pub atmosphere.

All of life's choices should be like this! :thumbsup2

We've had lunch and dinner at both and they're both good. I think it all comes down to what you like to eat. My choice for lunch at Le Cellier would be their cheddar soup and burger. At Rose & Crown for either meal it would be either the fish and chips or shephard's pie. But, that's me.
