Le Cellier--Lunch or Dinner?

Hi,
I'm trying to decide to go for lunch or dinner--any thoughts as to which is better? The menus look pretty much the same to me, except there is no mushroom filet at lunch. (My DH loves mushrooms but not risotto, so I don't think he'd go for this anyway)

For me, the shrimp cocktail adn the soup sounds good--can I order two appetizers? I'm not a huge eater, and I think this will be plenty for me to eat!

Lunch is easier to get into than dinner, right? Is that just because people are busy in the park during lunchtime?

Thanks so much for your help! (again!!)

My wife and I ate there for lunch May 21st. We couldn't get ADR for dinner. We are so glad we did lunch. Peaceful atmosphere although mostly all tables filled. She had filet and I had Ny Strip. Both were great. She had cheese soup and I had duch 2 ways. Great. Desserts also great. We did DDP. No problem. If you are OOP then you can certainly order as many appetizers as you wish for your meal. Even with DDP, you can pay OOP for any additional fare.

I just got my ADR today for Le Cellier for lunch-not a steak eater but DBf is-the things you do for love;) I think I might prefer to do to appetisers and a desert...or 3 deserts:woohoo:

I originally got Le Cellier reservations for 1:40, but then had to change to dinner at 4:30 on a different day. I think at 4:30 it will still be somewhat quiet, right?

We have done both but I think we like lunch better. DH can still get his BBQ filet (they will just leave off the demi glace and add the BBQ) but I cannot get the mushroom filet..they do not have the ingredients prepped for lunch. I did order the beef tips with udon noodles and veggies and it was AWESOME! The place is not that crazy busy for lunch

Dinner was delicious but I was just looking at the lunch menu and it looked good also! Just be aware the shrimp appetizer is not very large though the soup is pretty filling. :thumbsup2

I am perusing over on this forum to see where to eat lunch in Epcot myself. I want a sit down but I don't think I like what San Angel Inn has to offer -- so I was glancing at Le Cellier again since we liked it so much!

What exactly is this? I don't like a thick slab of steak but if its small bits I'm OK.

It is the tip of the beef tenderloin, very nice and bite size, totally tender and delicious. There was more beef in my dish than the size of DH's filet. He was still hungry after eating his meal and finished off mine. The veggies are cooked perfectly, the noodles are tender, not soft. I cannot wait to go back and order this again.

Mmm I'm sold! Plus DBf hates his veggies so he'll leave it alone:lmao:

We had lunch there last week. We weren't able to secure a dinner reservation. Lunch was just great. We at around 3:00 and waited maybe 5 minutes for the table. We all had the filet, and each one was delicious. We had the cheese soup...and I had the shrimp. Everyone was thrilled with their food. Had the chocolate "moose"...for desert. This was the one restaurant that everyone loved, and will go back to again. It was our first time using the dining plan. I am amazed that it is a single table service credit. We went to Brown Derby in MGM, which required two table service credits per person, and it wasn't nearly as good.

Go when you can. I've never been able to eat dessert there at lunchtime and they look *so* good! I've ordered the soup and the mixed field greens salad (w/o chicken) and still not been able to eat dessert. So, if you want dessert, go at dinner!
