I think you are going to find that a lot of people have booked Le Cellier in hopes that Free Dining will happen and this way they have it booked just in case. It is a very popular restaurant free dining or not but I'm guessing that the idea/possibility of free dining has it being booked for that time period.
I was very worried about not being able to get a reservation here, as it's our favorite TS, but I called Monday at my 180 day mark and was able to get a 6pm time for Sept. 29th. This was my first choice day & time, so it sounds like I was lucky
I tried on our 180 mark and could not get in for dinner. I took a lunch ressie. If anyoone has a dinner res. on Sept. 26th around 5-7 and does not want it let me know. Thanks.
I have one for 4 people on 9/23. At the 180 mark I was able to choose between 4:45 and 8:45 only. With a 18month old we took the 4:45! I couldn't believe that was all that was left either!
Call back and ask if anything is available for 3 people. bet you will have various days available. when you go to check in tell hostess/CM that the 3rd person isn't coming .

I was going to suggest this too. I couldn't find anythiing on the night I wanted with 2, but they did for 3 people. It's still a really late ressi though.
I've learned with this restaurant to book at exactly 180 days out. Otherwise, it's very frustrating trying to get a dinner ADR. I think it's that mushroom filet mignon that keeps people coming back!
I had to book right at the 180+10 mark for both of our dinner ressies and one we had no problem getting the 6:15 we wanted but the other we had to take 5:55. AT 180+10!!! Wow. I feel like I should try to sell one of them or something.
A ressie I felt was a little weird was Kona Cafe. We had requested 7:30 and had to take either 7:10 or 8:00 and that was a 180+3. Whoa I told my husband.
I think it's annoying that times are taken up for those who are getting ADRs when they don't even know if they're going or not. WDW needs to do something about this because those of us who have already paid or at least put deposit down should get first priority. Just IMO.
