Le Cellier - How is the wait? 2 tables?

After thinking we didn't want to eat a Le Cellier, I changed my mind and could only get a 2:50 p.m. time for Sept.

The problem is, my husband is refusing to eat at this time. I think a late lunch/early dinner might be a nice change as I have all dinners planned the rest of the nine days we're staying. He is insisting that it's too early.

Now, I know wait times are dependent on many factors, but in your experience, did you have a bit of a wait to get your table at Le Cellier? My thinking is, if you normally get seated after your ADR time, then we are not actually sitting down to eat at 2:50, which may help persuade him.

Also, when I made the reservation for 2 adults and 3 children, it says that we may be seated at more than 1 table. Will they sit us at tables next to one another or put 2 tables together?

We have only eaten at Le Cellier for an early dinner. (4:30 - 5:00) At that time there has been little wait. But when we leave, there are LOTS of groups waiting to be seated. I suspect that the later the ADR, the longer you may have to wait. It looks like your ADR is late in the lunch time frame so chances are you may not be eating for a while.

I had a 7:15pm ADR and waited for an additional 50 minutes.

They only time we've never had a longer than 15-20 minute wait was when dinner service first started. I think we had 4pm reservations.

For a 2:50 seating time, I highly doubt you are going to have a very long wait. I think your best bet would be to keep trying for a later time since you have until September to do it.

As for the "you may be seated at two tables" line, Disney tells that to just about everyone. It's very unlikely that you will be at two totally separate tables that aren't pushed together. I wouldn't worry about that at all.

If you have a reservation for 2:50, keep it and tell your DH if he wants to eat there he'll take it. Or try for another time that might suit him, however you may find it is entirely booked.

I did a walkup one time, party of one and the host/hostess at the podium dutifully checked and said that would be no problem, we have something in December. Unfortunately, this was mid-September!

So yes, you may have to take what you can get.

I've never had much of a wait at Le Cellier - 10 minutes at the most and we usually arrive 15 minutes early so that means we have always been seated by our ADR time. At that time of the day (2:50 PM) I don't think they will be backed up. You probably will be seated pretty much on time.

Thanks for the replies! So, as the majority said, it most likely won't be too much of a wait.

I'm going to keep the reservation for now and keep trying for a little later, but like I tell my kids "You get what you get and you don't get upset." Let's consider ourselves lucky that we even have a reservation.
