I have just been looking at allears.net at the lunch and dinner menus for Le Cellier as I'm trying to decide whther to attempt a September ADP for lunch or dinner. The mushroom filet is on for both lunch and dinner but there is a $9 difference, is the lunch filet smaller or are they trying to justify a higher price for dinner?

I ate a lunch and dinner there last week. I got the filet for lunch and was told it was a 5 oz filet and heard the server say the dinner portion was 8 oz.

For my dinner, I had the coffee rubbed Kansas City Strip while my wife had the NY Strip both meals. All of Le Cellier's steaks were outstanding-even better than Flying Fish, Yachtsman, and Citricos.

We have eaten there for lunch and dinner, ordering the filet every time. We will be there for lunch in Sept, and wondering if we should change it up. How is the strip steak you can order at lunch? Is the same as the Coral Reef steak at lunch (because we'll be eating there also)?

We ate lunch at Le Cellier today for Mother's Day and all 4 of us had the filet. It didn't look that much smaller than last night's filet at Jiko. We're all still full and it tasted great (we replaced the mushrooms & risotto with cream cheese potatoes).

I haven't eaten at Coral Reef, but I do prefer the filet over the strip steak at Le Cellier. The strip steak was good, and bigger than the filet, but I think I just prefer the filet cut over any other cut of steak. What do you normally prefer? My dad, for example, would probably like the strip steak better, but then that's what he always gets anywhere else too, plus the filet would be too small for him.

I think the filet at Jiko is tastier than the filet at Le Cellier.

We tried to get into Le Cellier in February but couldn't get a booking. Coming in from Canada in September for a surprise trip with DD6 who would eat steak at every meal of every day, I really wanted to try and get in there for our Epcot day. I'm just trying to figure out why the difference in price. On DDP and Free dining, but DD6 is on adult plan and trying to decide if I use 1 TS for her or pay OOP for her and save credit for me so we can have more sit down meals on our trip :)

It's pretty common to have a slightly larger portion along with a higher price for dinner. You'll probably notice it at quite a few of the restaurants as you're browsing the menus, making your choices. Even the buffets have a higher price at dinner, along with a few extra options on the buffet. Actually, I don't think there are all that many restaurants at Disney with the same lunch and dinner prices... I know the Plaza at MK is one of them, but they also have the exact same menu for lunch and dinner.

Well, I hope you're able to get Le Cellier this time around! I wouldn't want your DD to miss out on her steak! :goodvibes

I had the NY Strip at both Coral Reef and Le Cellier and wouldn't even want to compare Coral Reef with Le Cellier. Coral Reef's steak was ok, while Le Cellier is among the best I've ever had. Skip Coral Reef.
