Le cellier featuring "disney Family" wines

They should add Canadian ice wines. Preferably the ones from the Left Coast.

Disneys primary goal is to make money. I'm sure they've inked a hugely profitable (for them) deal to push these wines at Le Cellier. After all, they aren't going to sell them at the American Pavilion restaurant. Who's going to order a bottle of Cabernet to go with their burger? Disney doesn't give a Ratatouille's patootie about maintaining the cultural integrity of the country pavilions. Should they be featuring Canadian beverages in the Canadian pavilion's restaurant? Absolutely. Am I surprised that Disney would pull a stunt like this? Not any more.

I wonder if writing to MPs or Canadian wine astionastions would do anything. I only ask this because Canadians complaining to Tourism Canada is what got the film in the Canada pavilion updated.

Your local MP ( unless he/she represents a wine growing region) isn't going to get involved in a business decision made by a corporation in the US that hasn't broken any international trade agreements.

I don't know what a wine astionastion is.

If you feel strongly, send an email to Disney. But realize that it won't make any difference.

The main problem is unlike the other Pavilions Canada is in the same boat as Norway we don't have a sponsor in the Pavilion and so Disney gets to do what they want with it. If they tired to do this in France, Germany or Italy they would probably here from the sponsors there because it's a big deal to them.

also I left a comment on the parks blog "As a Canadian I don’t think this is appropriate at all and would rather see Canadian wines featured instead of all these “disney” wines. Also I think there should be a Canadian company running or sponsoring this restaurant as well, like maybe something like the keg."

but it's this comment that kind of makes me see why they wouldn't care about mine "We recently dined at Le Cellier (and do frequently as DVC members we can’t get enough)! We loved the Disney connection with this offering"

They do have ice wines, we have ordered the flight. The article does not say they are doing away with all of the Canadian wines. Have you confirmed this?

True. The blog really wasn't clear whether they were adding these to the existing wine list, or removing all of the previous offerings in favor of only the Disney family wines. The sceptic in me leans to the latter, though.

from what it says they are "training" the servers in these new wines to me it almost seems like push others over the canadian ones because we have atake in some of them and we don't with the others. I just almost feel like Le Cellier is becoming less and less Canadian over the years and more just a generic steakhouse you can find anywhere. I remember they used to take great pride in serving Canadian beef and said so on the menu now it' like who cares where it comes from.
