Le Cellier: Eating a lunch selection at dinner?

In September we're traveling with my husband's younger siblings, some of whom are extremely picky. My husband and I love Le Cellier and want to return for dinner. There's not much on the dinner menu that I think my in-laws would eat, but there's a couple of sandwiches on the lunch menu that might interest them. Has anyone ever been able to order a sandwich for dinner?

I think they could always choose a children's selection for dinner, but that seems like a waste. Any thoughts? If I booked another place for them that night where would you send a group of picky eaters? We'll be on the DDP.

Le Cellier is always packed at dinner and especially during the free dining time. Service always seems to be very slow there and the kitchen is always backed up. If they still have the ingredients and have them prepped they might be willing to prepare a special lunch entree for you at dinner, but due to how busy they are I'd doubt it.

I know several years ago I asked for a dinner entree at lunch and was told no. The waiter said that they have things prepped for lunch that are only on the lunch menu and things for the dinner menu are not prepped yet. He then proceeded to say that the same thing occurs for dinner. That everything from lunch is cleared away and things are prepped for the dinner menu, so the chefs can just grab what they need quickly.

Thanks so much! That's really good to know. I think I'll need to find another restaurant to send the picky eaters to. I can't imagine not liking seafood or steak, but they don't.

Lol! Welcome to my world. My hubby doesn't like seafood or steak either. He always gets a cheeseburger when we're at a "surf 'n turf" kind of place. He'll order it off the kids menu if he has to. FYI, a lot of restaurants will serve a "larger" portion from the children's menu to an adult and charge $2-3 more for it.
