Hi Guys,

I am in the process of trying to reserve Le Cellier for our upcoming Sept trip (i know i know, this may be next to impossible). But i lucked out for a few different days, so im keeping my fingers crossed.

For any Canadians out there that have eaten there - what did you think? I know most of the opinions on LC are divided (people either hate it or love it), but im curious (since it is supposed to be a Canadian restaurant after all).

Thanks!

We have eaten there a few times and enjoyed it, it's nothing particularly extraordinary though. We are usually are on the Dining Plan and wouldn't use 2 credits on it now.

Thanks C&B. We are also on the Dining Plan, but was hoping to snag a lunch reservation so we don't have to waste 2 credits. My hubby is really into steak, and I heard good things about the Filet and the Mushroom risotto.

Le Cellier lunch is going to 2 credits in 2013, so now is definitely the time to go! :)

To Disney...he loves the soup (now have to pay for it..but, a small price to pay to go to Disney..lol).

Haha - that's funny about the soup. Good trade off there! I'd love to try it, but why do they put bacon in it? Wonder if they have a batch made with out.

Crossing fingers I get the ressie!

Been to Disney 6 times and only able to get reservations on 2 visits. We've enjoyed our meals there and look forward to going again. But with 2 TS meal credits for lunch starting in 2013, I don't believe we'll be back anytime soon.

Good attitude! I scored a Le Cellier lunch a few weeks ago for my Aug trip - crazy lucky! So keep tryingpixiedust:

We ate at Le Cellier a few years ago for lunch and LOVED it! The cheddar cheese soup was awesome! The atmosphere is unique - like a wine celalr! Go figure! Come next year it'll be 2 TS credits like a PP said. So we plan on enjoying it one last time before it happens!

It's a must for my husband so 2 credits or not we will be going back in 2013 - I do love the ambiance - the kids go for the souvenir cups:). I loved the maple creme brulee and my husband has to have the cheddar soup. As for the entree - DH's steak has always been amazing and I love their hamburgers:thumbsup2

We have been twice-Loved it and will go again! If you are there in late September, you can enjoy the famous cheddar cheese soup and pretzels during the Food & Wine Festival-No reservation required!

DH and I love our steaks there. So much so that we went twice on our last trip and canceled another ressie elsewhere.

I lwould equate it to the Keg. I also like the fancy smoothies and drinks you can get as your "drink" on the DDP. Last time we got some ginger sparkling whatever and it was the best.

Our next trip we have 1 ressie there for lunch.

I doubt we will return when it turns to 2 credits though. We really don't do 2 credit meals much.

 the filet and mushroom risotto. Pretzel bread is great, and, I usually get a smoothie as my drink. I'll be having eating there in 25 days. :thumbsup2

We love it. I Can't wait I will be there in about four weeks, my mouth is watering just reading all these posts.:yay:

Le Cellier is a must for us each Disney trip! Since dinner is 2 credits we always book the latest possible lunch reservation..I think it was 3:30 or something. By the time we got our food it was 4:15 anyways. close enough to dinner. And the menu is basically the same! Last January we booked it twice!

The filet and mushroom risotto is to die for!! The Chedder cheese soup is my sons Favorite!!

When you book your meals just book Le Cellier first to get a day..then book your other ones around it.

This past January I would have to say though Rainforest Cafe & T-Rex had some pretty fantastic filet dishes! Those 3 have made it to our top restaurant must-do's now!

We've eaten there twice and enjoyed it very much. it was nice to talk with the young people from across the country. And they were always happy to meet a "neighbour" from home.
The food has always been delicious. I make the cheddar cheese soupmat home all winter long! However, I wouldn't use two meal credits for it. But I wouldn't use two meal credits at any restaurant.
One neat thing is the trivia they do in the waiting area. my kids were laughing at the answers non-Canadians were giving about our country! It was really fuuny!
It is a nice restaurant, the food is very good and the staff is lovely. My only complaint would be that it is a little cramped and a little over-priced.

We've eaten there a few times and it's pretty good. The soup is really nice, especially with the pretzel bread. The rest of the menu is good, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I know they have to be all things to all people, but some of the more adventurous Montreal recipes would be great to have! :goodvibes

We have eaten at LeCellier twice. The first time we ate there I was a little underwhelmed good, not great however I gave it a second chance and this time it lived up to the hype. Loved the fillet and risotto and the cheese soup--this was back when it was just one credit though and I don't think I'll be using 2 credits to eat there again.

I see they have poutine on the menu now. Since it is made with a red wine reduction I am almost afraid to ask if it is any good. I am going to assume it tastes nothing like real poutine...
