Just seen that Le Cellier will become a 2 credit meal for dinner from March next year, lunch will remain 1 credit.

It's not a restaurant that appeals to me but I know it has a loyal following.

Yes, we ate here and was surpised that we really liked it. I thought it would be overated. However I can think of much nicer signuature resturants to spend 2tc on at WDW.

We've eaten there twice and it was Ok but nothing to go crazy about, certainly won't be eating there again if its 2 TS - just shows you what supply and demand can do!

Had a much better steak at Coral reef to be honest

Gald I got in for 3rd october this year.:thumbsup2Always wanted to eat there but never been able to get in. It is really popular along with coral reef.Trying both this time so will see if they are worth there popular followers:confused3 Like OP says would prob prefer another resturant for a 2TS Meal-calfornian grill being my fav so far but will let you know what I personally think. After reading waynes thread and seeing the pics from captain jacks just cancelled H&V for it on the 27th Sept.Another first.

probably will make it easier to get an ADR

We tend to dine @ LeCel every trip, yet i don't think the current dessert offerings justify 2TS on DP (quality, we've had some very 'hard' smores last few trips:confused:).

Im happy with just cheese soup & pretzel bread, may just pay OOP, same with DH & DS, probably will just book lunch for less expensive cost of steaks next year & we'll get a more interesting dessert in the worldshowcase.

Last Aug Le Cellier beat Cali grill for us for steak, service and atmosphere so fully understand the 2 credits. Not sure I would use 2 credits for it though. Trying Yachtsman this trip, if that doesn't live up to expecation we are giving up trying 2 credit signature restaurants they are not a good use of credits on DDP.

I don't think its worth 2 credits either, but steak of good quality is really expensive, maybe this is why its going to a 2 credits. It could also do with a bit of a makeover too.

Eating there again next week and also trying the Yachtsman this trip.

Will be eating at cellier again this trip.

We enjoyed cellier but it wasn't 2 credits worthy -will be interesting to see what changes they bring in to justify 2 credits.

Also trying yachtsman this trip. Will see how it compares with cellier.

My best steak last time was Raglan Rd not le cellier.

If the menu and the number of people they shoe horn in there remains the same then no, I personally don't think it's worth 2 credits.

If they improve either/both of those though it would make it worthy of Signature status.

I loved Yachtsman Steakhouse, we had an amazing meal there. I sometimes feel that we don't get the same level of service at some Disney restaurants as a 1 adult and 1 child party that a couple get. This was not the case at Yachtsman Steakhouse, they made my daughter feel grown up and were very attentive. I haven't been to California Grill, it sounds quite hectic and busy so doesn't appeal as a signature restaurant for me.

We ate lunch there yesterday, I had a great burger and DW had the filet, both very successful and the service was outstanding!
Worth two table credits tho? I have my first 'signature' restaurant meal in a few days so can decide then :)

:goodvibes

Im new to all of this im slowly figuring out how to use it lol ( no idea how to do a time thingy though ) if any body wants to explain please feel free lol
any ways im really pleased i got booked in to Le Cellier this september/october then as im not sure i would have tried so hard to get it with it being 2 credits even with the great reviews its a real shame that everytime something is over succesful they feel the need to bump up the price :( .......Im sooo excited for my next 3 wk trip!

Hi Tinkerpea, and welcome to the Dis :cheer2:

Do you mean the countdown thing people have in their signatures?

If you click on someone's countdown then it'll open in a new window that has lots of different options to create your own. Pick one you like, add the dates and at the end it'll create some text for you to copy. Then go to your User Profile and find the section for your signature and you literally just paste in the copy and save and voila - fancy smancy countdown under all your posts :)

Hope that helps!

Trying Yachtsmen Steakhouse for the first time so look forward to your opinions. I like steak but have an irrational fear of fat and gristle so don't eat it often.

One of the best meals we had was a lunch at Le Cellier - we had an ADR for later in the evening but we were starving around 2.30pm and asked if we could get a walk up and cancel our evening reservation. There was no problem, plenty of tables spare and the service and food was second to none. We would definitely do a late lunch again especially as lunch will still be 1TS - we would have an early breakfast that day and the late lunch would probably be enough for us that day - well maybe a snack late in the day.

We are thinking of trying Le Cellier and Yatchsman on our next trip and I don't even eat meat !! DH loves steak though and we have enough spare credits to justify both
