I'm sure Al or Jim or someone has broken this already, but in Talking to some CMs yesterday, I learned that Le Bat en Rouge in New Orleans Square closed permanently today. All Nightmare before Christmas merchandise will be removed and the Pirates store will be expanded.

This probably doesn't bode well for the Haunted mansion Holiday.
At the same time, that store had like one item that was Villians related and little to no Haunted Mansion related items, so it wasn't selling related merchandise anyway.

I was excited when they were doing the remodel. A store for HM and Villians stuff. Exactly what I would buy. Slowly, Jack took over the store, and I don't collect NBC. Sorry to see it deterorate and sorry to see it go. I really liked the pun.

I just got off the phone with DL info, and apparently nobody told the CMs at Le Bat that they were closed permanently. They're open today and selling merchandise.

Originally there was a chance they would close as part of the Pirate's refurb, but that didn't happen.

Maybe they aren't closing right away. As I said It was a cast member that said this.

A Cast member in Pieces of Eight also confirmed yesterday.
Granted, Cast members aren't often right, but I would think that the ones working the store would be aware of it since it's their jobs.
Also, I'm really frightened that you made a long Distance call to confirm or deny this rumor.

Cell phone with no roaming charges.

I was concerned about this, but according to the CM I spoke with, no one at Le Bat had heard anything about closing. I only spoke with the guy at the info line, he wouldn't transfer my call into the park. He also said no one at the info desk had heard anything about it either.

The interesting thing is tha tI talked to a third person that thought Pieces of eight was closing (and it is scheduled to), but possibly never to reopen. She was working the cart in the courtyard between Le Bat and Po8. As Sara said, given the HM changes it makes sense. Though they likely won't do both stores together. Probably Po8 will close and the pirates merchandise will be put in Le Bat.

Le Bat en Rouge doesn't actually sell any Haunted Mansion stuff anyway. Just Jack Skellington as far as the eye can see. they used to at least have a few villians and HM related items. Might as well close it.
