This past summer we just upgraded from our tube tvs to 2 Sony LCDs. We love them. Now we need a third for the bedroom. 
I agree buy your HDMI cable from monoprice. We needed a longer than usual cord and bought a 60 foot HDMI cable from monoprice for around 30-40 dollars. Circuit City wanted to sell us a 60 foot cord for around 250. The monoprice HDMI works great too. We haven't had any problems with it.
