Hi Does anyone know if there are any resturants near this hotel? We wont have a car but does anyone know if the lynx bus runs past this.
thankyou

Literally next door you have Bahama Breeze, Lone Star Steakhouse and Landry's Seafood. Just up the road towards Premium Outlets is a Carrabba's. There are loads more options in the Crossroads vicinity, and the Orlando Ale House at the junction of S Apopka Vineland Road and Palm Parkway.

Oooohhhhh we loved the Ale house last time we were there - but used the one near Universal.
Can you tell me how close is the LBV one to Buena Vista Palace? Be great if it was walking distance for the occasional beer :rolleyes1

I think you are thinking of wrong place Deb, I am not familiar with this resort, isn't it the new one right next to LBV outlet? If it is I can't think there is much to walk to around it. A google search suggests it is where I think it is.

Buena Vista Palace is quite a walk to Ale House, I guess it would be possible but not something I would do, try this link http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=ut....382717,-81.512032&spn=0.032999,0.055017&z=14
You can see where the hotel is, Ale house is on the junction of Winter Garden Vineland Ave & SR 535.
You will probably have to drag the map down slightly.

I stayed there in April and wayne is correct it is adjacent to the outlet stores on the 535. There is not much that is walking distance (the outlet stores, a few small shops, a medical centre and a run down looking chinese place) and I wouldn't have liked to be there without a car.
I didn't use the bus service from the resort but did use the Irish pub and it is fine if a little expensive. The condo cooking facilities were good and the pool bar ok.

Oh dear I am a bit worried now as wont have acar and it looks so nice. Surely there must be a bus that runs from the LBV mall to idrive or LBV itself:confused3.Rosie do you know how far approx by taxi /cost to the crossroads .Dont mind paying for itpopcorn:::happytv:

Its not far from LBV resort to crossroads - 5 miles maybe ? It is a nice resort and the only criticism I would have is the area surrounding it is undeveloped and you can't walk to anywhere much, but that is something I knew before I went.
I don't know how much taxis cost but why not email the resort as they are very helpful. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay and I see that you are moving to other accomodation too so its not like you'll be there long enough to get fed up with taxis.:goodvibes

How have you booked it Alyson? could it be changed if you saw somewhere better?

I booked through hotels.com wayne? any suggestions:confused3Just liked the condo feel and the jacuzzi in the bedroom.

Hotels.com say they don't charge a fee for cancellations but it depends what the terms were when you bought, many hotel rates on their site(and Expedia, same company) are non-refundable, if you are considering it then you need to check your confirmation, it should tell you.

As you are not there the full holiday and like the look of the hotel you might be better sticking with it and using buses or taxis.

Dont really want to change and have no problem using the buses or a taxi but looking at the lynx site I can't see where I have to get the bus from to get to idrive as when going to universal/seaworld we would like to hv a breakfast in dennys /ponderosa etc rather tha pay OTT at the hotel. Dont know how far to idrive from the hotel or what taxi would cost roughly.

thanks wayne.

Hotel looks ace and will be out all day everyday and as you say moving to disney hotels for the rest.:cool1:

we're staying here for our full 3 weeks, but we have an 8 seater mini van hired (as there's 8 of us). Not stayed here before but as we wanted a package deal with that many of us - we didn't have much choice with virgin as they no longer offer Cypress Pointe or it would have been there instead. Looking forward to it though as its a newer build than CP.

Hiya, Yes no worries - will keep an eye out to see if lynx perhaps stops at the outlet and let you know when I get back :thumbsup2

Crabbie1 - have just looked at the lynx website as they have a map of all their routes and the bad news is there aren't any that come near to Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores or the Hotel. The nearest stops are at the Marriott Vacation club along World Center Drive, taking in the Buens Vista Suites and Embassy Suites by the Ponderosa on the crossroads for 535 and 536 - so would be a fair walk!!

Thanks for that disbabes.;) I have realised that we are going to have to get a cab everywhere but never mind. Will be at IOA the first day Seaworld on my bday, busch gardens the third, universal and discovery cove so its only really to eat of an evening. Thanks for looking anyway.I couldnt fatham it out,:happytv:
