Layout Challenge- Ends February 12th- Mouseears Jenny is the Winner!

Your challenge this month is to try something new on a layout- it could be a new product, a new technique, it could be a different style than you normally use. It could even be simplifying your style if you go fancy. So dust off the products you bought ages ago and have never used, look at a few blogs for inspiration, and try something different. Journal in a different style than ypou have before- use a computer or handwriting- try on of the mad libs styles for journaling. The sky is the limit. Always wanted to try digital but never have- give yourself permission to try something different- you might like it or you might find you don't but you will never know if you don't try.

I think I am going to try paint.

Welcome to our section of the board. We have lots going on from challenges to swaps, and online crops from time to time. On this challenge - the previous winner (choosen by random draw from the entries) post a thread with a layout challenge - for this one I simply want you to try something new on your layout (sometimes there is a sketch or a list of items to include on a layout).

After you have completed a layout that fits the requirements you will post a picture of it. (you cannot upload a picture directly to the boards most ofus use photobucket or a similar service). You are then entered to win and if you are drawn then you would choose the next challenge and post a thread for it. We can help you if need be.

Oh another question it says the end of the challange is in Feb. can we post our page if we are done before that or do we wait till the last day?

Journaling, I'm weak too... I find that I put them to the side when I can get my thoughts together clearly.. .go to put them in the books and have to journal! LOL I'm getting better though..

I thought about making sure I used my cuttlebug for embossing.. I forget all the folders I have.... I finish a LO and then think about it! Hello!!!! ERRRRR!!!!

Think I'm going to try the pearl writing things my mom gave me.. I'll explain more after I figure it out and post it... It should work w/ my idea and I can even use my embossing tool!!!

If this doesn't qualify it is fine. I tried to use things I never use. I didn't really try a new technique (Bad picture, no natural light to help- where are you sun )

1) I used prima flowers which I had to have at the time but rarely used

2) I used an eyelet (Some white bunny on the corner of pic) which I rarely use. I am usually a brad girl.

3) I always see people mix capital and lower case letters in their titles and like it, so I gave it a whirl

Michelle- that is fine! We all have things in our stash we never (or very rarely use) and that counts with this too- This is for fun- I am not here to be a stickler about semantics.

DD and I are scrapping her high school years - before her graduation in June. This is one of the "lilly pad photos" that were taken when DD had senior photos done.

DD liked this page so much - she wants it at as a title page, as opposed to with the prom section.

I've hardly done any scrapbooking ever - although I do a lot of stamping for cards, so this process isn't foreign to me. The "new" thing on this one would be the flowers.

I played a few of the challenges last year and then wandered off a bit. I thought of these challenges just last week and wandered back to look for inspiration. For a while, I couldn't think of a technique I hadn't tried, then it occurred to me to try something I am always too nervous to do - doodle and stamp right on my background paper. I usually do messy techniques on embellishments so I don't mess up and have to start the whole page over, so this was definitely out of my box.
