layoffs?

I thought I'd read somewhere on these boards that Disney is expected to be cutting staff in late September, which could impact service in October and result in longer lines.
Does anyone know the status of these layoffs or if that rumor is true?

It was a rumor from Len Testa. Nothing has happened yet as far as I’m aware.

Sounds like a strange rumor. I can imagine there might be a seasonal reduction in the needed CM's but that would most likely be handled by reduced hours, not layoffs.

The most telling thing about this rumor is that it centers(once again) on Disney. It appears with the constantly growing Universal that they keep increasing their employee numbers while Disney seems to be in constant retreat.
