She did our wedding last May and was very helpful and sweet to work with.

Actually Lurkyloo WDW offered packages first to long term CMs before proceeding with the layoffs.

Voluntary redundancy and Bouyouts are the same thing (however, we dont use the term buyout's in the uk so i'm just using my common sense to work out they are the same?)

I dont know how disney work as an employer , but when you have that many jobs being cut surely it would have been in their interest to ask for volunteers first. We all might think working for disney is a dream job, but i'm sure there are some people who didnt want to stay

I have a quick question that all you news buffs could answer as i'd be interested to know .... when disney release they financial info per quarter/annually do they break it down in anyway by entities (I presume DFTW is a seperate entity to the Disney Company or whatever they call it?) or are the figures released for the parks profit seperate to other entities they have? Im probably not asking this correctly, so to make it short (too late!) do they release the profit figures for DFTW.

Hi everyone!

I am going to lock this thread. I know that this is a trying time for all of you. It is hard to play 52 card pick up. I ask that you have patience during this transition. The layoffs at Disney were traumatic for everyone, but none more so than the people who lost their jobs and those that lost their friends in the layoffs. I have friends who were laid off in the past few weeks. Like anyplace else, DFTW has their remaining consultants picking up brides and ensuring that you get the fairytale that you are planning. Please be patient with them and be supportive. It is a rough time right now for everyone, especially in this economy.
